The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

I will be watching all three parts live just to experience Lisa Barlow beating the dead horse of vindication after they piled on her last year.

I'm not believing anything until cameras start rolling. I read/heard something that said "Bravo is scrambling and only Lisa is secure, but they may pull a Dallas with SLC" - despite Andy saying just last week that they have amazing casting for season 4.

With only 4 returning Housewives, Bravo would be dumb to not at least keep the Angies in the wings in case things with the potential newbies don't work out. These days so many things happen to change initial plans - a newbie might be boring and get axed (see Janell Stephens for RHOA season 15), might quit or be axed mid-way due to unforeseen circumstances (Nicole James RHOC 16), or film full-time and be demoted due to legal/contractual issues (Sutton Stracke, LaToya Ali.)

I feel like there's no way they won't get a fourth season. Dallas got five seasons that all flopped before it was cancelled. The girls just had one struggle season that was out of their control. They've also had endless time to prepare because they knew Jen was leaving.

I personally don't believe any of the Salt Lake City rumors. We heard Mary was going to be at the reunion, then it's getting put on pause, now I hear there's a new dark haired ex-mormon. I feel like people are just throwing anything they can out there. We're really going to have to wait until they start filming to find anything true out.

As much as fans insisted on hating this season and pointed and screamed at the live viewer numbers, the demo always seemed fine and that evidence pointing toward a younger audience means this likely does well in same-week streams. We’re not even close to a Dallas situation.

It's worth remembering that we're simply transitioning into a new era of the show, also. It has happened with all of the mainstays of the franchise (most of them more than once), it just happened in an age where the fanbase had less scrutiny because there were less Housewives shows and we had less comparisons to point to.

Post-Jen opens up a world of possibilities without even needing anything close to a soft reboot, and while the three new cast members didn't work this season, that doesn't mean the well has run dry in terms of new blood in Salt Lake. With all due, this isn't Beverly Hills where are the truly wealthy elites look down on the show and all the eligible cast members are thirsty to get on. There's a lot more middle ground to explore before we get to that place in this city.

After what Bravo did to RHONY, nothing could possibly surprise me.
