The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Y'all still do way too much and stay so fussed. Remember you can't spell Schemonica, without icon. So many clutched pearls over... what?.. No tables flipped, no weave extracted, no need to call security. Ladies, her rather tame, and gaggy gossip girl antics were small potatoes compared to what we've seen on Bravo.

Before the end season gag, she had one of the best new edition housewife edits we've seen since Kenya. Didn't take herself too seriously, gave good confessionals, picked fights with everyone but also made amends and kept it moving, had personal hardships that weren't exclusive to "I'm a bad morman."... essentially all you could really want or ask for from a new addition.

She's likely done on the show for good, and that's fine but if Whitney and Mere are willing to play a bit, wanna put their producer caps on and bring her back to rile some feathers, make some great messy tv..etc well, it's a smart move and surely ratings gold. Who can blame them and I'd like to see it.

Agreed. Monica was an amazing edition to the show and the best one & done housewife of all time. Yes, she flopped at the reunion but everything prior to those episodes? Amazing, spectacular, show stopping etc etc.

Probably needs another season off before they think about reintroducing her but when that time comes, Lisa, Heather and their ego’s will have to deal with it. I’m glad sneaky Whitney thee Deengurgh and Motherdith have softened their stances. I really hope the former at least filmed a lunch scene or something.

To call it clutched pearls is dumb, she is annoying with her middle school quality insults and the matter of the fact is that she stalked these women, met them under false pretenses, installed fucking spy cameras in Jen's house(!!!). You can't be on a show if you've shown yourself to be too deranged and annoying for any of the women to want to be near you. The fact of the matter is she's gone because she alienated her damn self!!

pfff.. sis, you used six exclamation points in this post. Call it whatever you want... but something is clearly clutched, clenched or otherwise pressed. Just own your hateration, and let the rest of us enjoy messy speculation rumors up in this dancery, in peace. xoxo

I don't have a problem with Monica discourse, it's just annoying as hell when her stans constantly come for the women who have anchored SLC since the beginning, acting as though they're incapable of delivering without her help.

I actually agree that Monica is the type of newbie you only get once in a blue moon and I wouldn't be opposed to seeing her on the show again, but everything and every one surrounding her is just so... grating. You only have to look at the tweet posted a few posts up to see that her fanbase is full of BreatheHeavy type fags. Ugly, toxic, desperate.

Monica’s first season is a lightning in a bottle moment that doesn’t come around often, but with the way it all crescendoed in the finale, I don’t see her returning as a full time housewife being able to reach those heights again. They played all of her cards (in a genius move for great tv) and turned her into a mythic figure for one monumental season of reality television, but I really don’t see where they go from here. With the general hatred much of the cast seems to have for her, I just don’t know if the role she played is really sustainable for a longer run. I think letting her have this one iconic, spectacular, never the same etc moment of reality tv infamy that everyone remembers forever may be better than potentially diminishing returns

Obviously all hypothetical nobody knows what a second season of Monica would bring. I’m down for whatever they decide, but I always feel the need to push back against the narrative I keep seeing online about how SLC needs Monica when…these other women have shown repeatedly that this isn’t a show carried by one person.

I thought Monica gave us a great season, but I don't always think that means you need to stay longer. I feel like we got just enough Monica for now. I'd love to see her back in the future, but I think a break is fine.

Another example of something similar is when Kim Fields was on RHOA. Most people view that as a failure, but her fish out of water storyline was interesting and I loved her evolution throughout the season and the reunion. Her leaving only makes it better because it was such a perfect season for the show. Had she stayed there wouldn't have been anywhere for her story to go, much like had Monica came back.

Monica for Traitors or that Villains show they had Tiffany Pollard on would be iconic tbh.
I think it was revealed they wanted her for S3 of Traitors but some publication said she failed the psych exam dd though she denied that. I'm sure the truth is somewhere in between that they did contact her but for some unknown reason they didn't move forward.

Realistically what do you want Monica to do if she returns? She isn’t going to antagonise them as hard knowing her job hangs in the balance if they don’t get along. So we would just have Monica on an apology tour being fake nice with Baby Gorgeous and Heather to appease the Bravo gods. She wouldn’t come back guns blazing with smoke for everyone as I imagine her stans would hope. The only reason she can and does spend so much time hating on the other women is because she isn’t on the show anymore.
