I didnt realise that neither the 7" Or 12" B side Version of To Cut A Long Story Short have ever been on CD. Surprising given the amount of compilations.
Gary's busy pretending to be in Pink Floyd. Martin's busy doing Xmas albums and autobiographies with Shirlie. Tony's busy. Steve and John's opinions probably don't matter.
I think they sort of were post the court case, just so they could pay off their debts by being Tony's backing band. Nowadays I think Steve does his own thing but has sort of made up with Tony after falling out, as Steve's mum died this year and I think both their parents were best mates. A wish Gary would show an interest in remastering Journeys to Glory. Has to be one of the worst remasters I have ever heard. Its as if they have wiped out all the bass so it just sounds so harsh on the ears.

Japan's Quiet life the deluxe next year, am I hearing it right , you have to buy the vinyl to get the 3cds.
I'm ok with that as both my Quiet Life LPs have been played heavily over the years. Probably will be like the Fleetwood Mac / Alphaville / Replacements / Lou Reed / Ramones sets which look good on the shelves.
I hope they reissue the 3 cds on their own as a set, I stopped collecting vinyl in 2002 so have no need for the vinyl, but if it comes down to it, I'll just have to get the set as don't want to miss out, even though I must have 5 different issues of the cd I wish for Japan more than any other band to get 5.1 surround sound reissues of their albums, to hear Polaroids and Tin Drum in 5.1 would just be something else!

with each subsequent track list of these hits I do have to stifle yawns - so much the same as any others
Looks like a fantastic tracklisting, but so many compilations....you get fatigue in the end. Is it meant to be 80s? Because Enigma was 1990.
That tracklist is about as predictable as day follows night, disc 3 looks decent, but everything else I've got on a fair few of these compilations that have been doing the rounds since It's Electric in the early 90s I wonder how they make money from these compilations, with there being so many of these about, if you've got one or two then you've got them all
You look at the tracklist and admire the brilliant tunes. You are inclined to buy it on impulse. Never thinking you have all the tracks on many compilations
It is, of course, not a remaster. 2021 Scritti Politti autumn tour playing Cupid & Psyche '85 in full.
