I am looking forward to this. Is it definitely the mca material. I wonder when the tracklist will be out.
Listening to Debbie Gibson’s reissues… Out Of The Blue remains a classic - her scoring U.S. 5 hit singles was no fluke. It’s like a masterclass in “how to write perfect pop songs for teens in the late 80s.” It was always going to be tough for her to top that.
So there is; Human Racing - 10 songs, B sides - 3 songs, remixes - at least 8 The Riddle - 10 songs, B sides - 3 songs (though bet Progress is missed!), remixes - 4 (no Wild Horses too!) Radio Musicola - 10 songs, B sides - 1 song, remixes - 4 The Works - 10 songs, B sides - 2 songs, remixes - 4 49 songs and 20 remixes - they wont use all the remixes/edits etc but should be a comphrehensive set. I need; - the other Dancing Girls remix (Special Hi-energy) - Dancing Girls 7'' - the Boswell remix of Wouldnt It Be Good - Wild Horses 12'' - Nobody Knows (Phil Harding remix) Hopefully at least two of them?
Just utter pop perfection. Have a fondness for Electric Youth now though, after being proved very much wrong!
The Simon Boswell 12" mix of Wouldn't It Be Good is on this cd. https://www.discogs.com/release/502860-Various-RetroActive4-Rare-Remixed
I need one less.. I forgot i had that CD, thanks for the reminder. One of the most irritating Nik things I have is the US 7” edit of Wouldn’t It Be Good on this US cd. Relatively barbaric edit. https://www.discogs.com/release/563093-Various-Just-Cant-Get-Enough-New-Wave-Hits-Of-The-80s-Vol-13
The Communards reissue delayed for 2 weeks till 17th December. I can't wait to hear the new 7th Heaven club mixes of Don't Leave Me This Way.

Hard to fault either set really, the fact that the Nik one is heavy on 12s is interesting and I had forgotten most of the Radio & Works 12s arent on CD. Hope the Dancing Girls / Drum Talk ones are different to The Riddle 2CD ones. FGTH, doesnt look like anything new but doubt there was anything left! Edit, so new to Nik on CD is; - One Step Ahead (Industrial Mix) - Radio Musicola (Extended Mix) - Drum Talk (Special Hi-energy Remix) ? hoping the Dancing Girls one is the Special New Mix from the same 12 as Drum Talk. ? is Don Quixote Extra Special Long Mix new, as I have only ever seen it labelled as Extended Version (though I dislike Don Quixote immensely and longer version wont help that).
The Nik one isn't too bad, would have that for a fiver just for those few rarer mixes. I did make my own 4-disc set, but this is neat enough. FGTH, I must have every sodding thing by now, so I'll pass.
*sigh* PASS! At this point, can they just release a comprehensive singles boxset with every version of each single?
