The Reissue Thread!

Well let's face it, reissues by and large don't sell that much (many a CD reissue has 1000 or 2000 copies as a first run) so I'd expect prices to rise slightly. But it's ridiculous when it's getting to the stage when you could easily mistake the price of a CD box set for a vinyl box set.

I've been buying less box sets because everything's usually up on Spotify anyway and I only find myself playing a handful of tracks more than once.

I have also noticed the cost of CD box sets often halving in price about 6 or so months down the line - so I'll give the Bowie box a miss for now...

It's a crap shoot....some sets go down, some go up to crazy levels. Loving The Alien is £250-400 now, was still about 80 quid not long ago. Brilliant Adventure's still in the "lower than originally" price bracket (under £70) but who knows what that'll end up being.

#Thriller40 update !
Got The Hots
This is another song written by Rod Temperton for Thriller but it didn’t make the cut. It was ultimately included on certain versions of the King of Pop compilation album released in various international markets in 2008, but one interesting note about this song is that the assistant engineer who worked on the June, 1982 sessions with engineer Brent Avril when this song was recorded is Nelson Hayes. As some may know, Nelson actually became a trusted member of Michael’s security detail under Bill Bray!

So, it looks like it's the already released version we bought back in 2008... But thanks for the Nelson Hayes note !
