I have the 30th Anniversary edition of Private Dancer. Considering what a landmark album it is I always thought it was a bit weird that it´s only two CDs. It does have a lot of extra songs though plus extended mixes. I wonder if there are other recordings from that era that did not make it onto the release?

The very excellent lastnightfromglasgow label have announced they are reissuing China Crisis’ Difficult Shapes and Passive Rhythms and It’s Immaterial’ Life Is Hard in 2023. Bit odd as there were very comprehensive reissues of both a while back but might just be vinyl reissues.

I missed out on the 30th Anniversary edition of Private Dancer, it was out before I really got into Tina. So hard to get hold of now for a decent price too alas.

I didn't even know what was on it.

Looks like still room to add the 12" of the Mad Max singles, plus the track she gave to We Are The World (which has two officially released versions).

This song, co-written by Michael Sembello, was originally one of the 9 tracks intended to be included on the Thriller album until the song “Human Nature” was discovered and wound up on the album instead.

I think it’ll be a pretty good 2CD set, though people seem to have called it down the line.

Also Divine Walk Like A Man is correct at 3:53. Unfortunately Amii Stewart Friends is wrong and has never been on cd in its correct U. K. Single form.But it looks like there are Two new to cd single versions

I have Friends on the Power Of Love CD, released by Teldec in 1985.

Many years ago, I had the 7" West German pressing and I am sure it matches the version on the CD above

Is the UK 7" any different?

It looks like the Amazon pages for Culture Club and Boy George Japan reissues are up, but not live, yet (They are all Temporarily Out Of Stock). Can't find the European editions. Don't know what they are waiting for to officially announce them. Mid Dec is not that far away. Or maybe they'll release them in Europe in early 2023 ?
