Sometimes I just open Discogs and stare longingly at this set for like an hour knowing full and god damn well I will never in a million years be able to afford it. What I'd give for even just a digital reissue.

EDIT: and while I'm at it, these too. The listings for both Farley compilations say that they were available digitally at some point but I haven't for the life of me been able to find out where (although I assume it was in the UK only); Harmless doesn't even have a website anymore from what I can see.

I was very, very lucky to buy it for a tenner in our Virgin ‘sale’ shop in Southampton in 1989. It’s a mega set. It is frightening how much both sets mentioned go for these days.

They don’t seem to release classic house comps any more. The last one I bought was the Frankie Knuckles House Masters one.
