The Reissue Thread!

Hmm. I've passed on the yearbooks so far but now it's reaching my era I might start. But I still find it hard to get excited about them when I've already got all the original '92 albums on CD.

If it was 6-8 discs, really nicely packaged and they didn't then do the stupid bonus editions I wouldn't hesistate. Instead I'm looking at what's missing and thinking it doesn't really do what it says on the tin.

Looking at the track list for 92 I can see why at the time I was rapidly moving away from the chart end of music and finding alternative/dance etc more interesting

My deluxe Louise retrospective arrived. The sturdy CD package is pristine, but the signed picture is creased, bent and battered. It was packaged in a card envelope, but that was stuffed in a Jiffy bag the same size, so it was pretty doomed from the start.

Oh, that might be worth a look! I sold off all my Erasure CDs a few years back (yeah, I know) and have made do with compilations, but if the bonus tracks are good enough I may add this to my ever-growing list of 80s reissues to get at some point.

I still haven't got any of the Kim Wildes, the Princess one, or Brilliant yet. And now I've added the two Climie Fishers, Animotion, Tony Hadley and the Freur doublepack to the list.

Let me know if The Innocents remaster is any good. The last remaster of it gave me such a headache that I went out and bought a copy of the original CD pressing, in order to make it viable to listen to the album at all!
