When you start a reissue campaign with a vinyl + cd set, then you go for a cd+br set for the second album. I can't stand this at all !!!

Seal (Deluxe Edition) unveils ten previously unreleased recordings, offering alternate versions of album tracks like “Newborn Friend” and “Don’t Cry,” as well as a haunting take on “Dreaming In Metaphors” that features Seal alone at the piano. The Deluxe Edition collects additional gems from that era, including the B-side “Blues In E,” a cover of Steve Miller Band’s “Fly Like An Eagle” from the Space Jam soundtrack, and a version of “Manic Depression” that Seal recorded with guitar virtuoso Jeff Beck for Stone Free: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix. The Blu-ray will feature exclusive Dolby Atmos and PCM 24/96 High Resolution Stereo mixes of the album.

So they are forcing a Blu Ray on us, instead of a vinyl like last time.

Shame they have not added the remixes but I am interested in the unreleased tracks.

Glad for no-vinyl, but it seems the Blu-Ray/Hi-Res is of the 2024 remaster so won't be as good as a flat transfer of the original. Sigh. Howard Jones' upcoming Blu-Rays pull the same trick. I might just deluxe Seal II myself to match my 6-disc SDE of the debut. And maybe buy the rarities from QoBuz or whatever.

There’s also a 2LP deluxe vinyl for Seal 2, so they did the CD and Vinyl as separate packages this time.
I wish they had done that for the first album as well, sigh.
