The Reissue Thread!

Oh bloody hell yes, that looks a goodie!!! Love that first album and the second was pretty damn good! Excited about the Muscle Deep 12, as that was only on a Jap cd. And that’s before discs 2 and 4!
I’m def getting this. Great live, albums still sound good to this day, plus guest Beldina vocals! Surprised me they didn’t go on to be much more successful

He still wants it! C'mon EG, this is genuinely exciting, all the TJ you could want! Unless you don't think Muscle Deep is the most chaotic melody of any late 80s single, it swaggers drunkenly!
Muscledeep was what got me into them, was it The Tube or some show in early 1986 anyway. Mark had a jumper tied around his waist and looked the most handsome male popstar this side of Morten at the time. Great track, clearly a proper band, and I continued to buy their stuff even though the 2nd album underwhelmed me. The boxset design just seems so dull. It's interesting that the blurb claims everything is taken from the actual mastertapes. I'd have expected a glut of vinyl rips a la Swing Out Sister. So I may be swayed.

They were only the second band I saw live (Level 42 being first) as soon as mates and I got driving licence to go to gigs, our hometown not being blessed with venues the way it is now. I was actually more in favour of the second album tbh, I’m intrigued to hear all the extra stuff as I only ever bought the albums (and maybe two 7”s) back then.

There was something their first album had that the second didn't. The second one, though great, is more formulaic. The first one, they were ploughing a really interesting furrow. Muscle Deep is a magnificent track, one of my faves. Wish I'd seen them live in their pomp.
