The Reissue Thread!

Finally had time to dig into this. A worthy trip down memory lane. I’ve never heard Michael Omartian’s version of House of Love or the Keith Thomas mix of Oh How The Years Go By. They’re quite wonderful, truly. I’m kicking myself for ordering the vinyl but not the cd.

I listened to my copy of the vinyl that arrived on Friday, firstly, it was a nice surprise to find a signed print inside the sleeve when I opened it, number 83 out of 1500, there was no mention of a signed print on the website, so again, a really nice surprise!
As a newbie to this album, I’m enjoying it more and more with each listen, songs are jumping out at me with each listen, Oh How the Years Go By is becoming a favourite, and that Keith Thomas mix is great, like, I can picture that version sitting nicely on Heart In Motion.
I remember Big Yellow Taxi being played on the radio back in 1994, so I have a lot of nostalgia for that.

I don't know much about her but always great to see a comprehensive deluxe edition.

Nick Heyward's North Of A Miracle gets another reissue.

3 CDs. Could we be getting the Warning Sign 7" Mix (with its two raps) on CD at last?

I've been asked by Anfunny to leave this here:

"I still visit the forum every now and then to see what's going on, but only as a guest. So, 'Warning Sign'. Here's the good news;

“The version that is track 2 on CD3 came from the production master for Arista HEY6/HEY12 6, timing 3’57, Rap section start 2’06 to 2’22 & again at 2’55 to 3’08, that to me is two rap sections. It’s the production master for the 7 & 12” single dated 29th September 1984.”

Everything has been taken from tapes, which is nice, isn't it?"

Hurrah! The correct version then!

Much love to @nnnumb and anfunny (much missed) for this news, you don't know how much this means, I've loved this version since winter 84.

I'd emailed Nick's wife to ask (his manager) but it was an outside shot. Amazing to have the 7, 12, Dub and Remix on the same set.

Much appreciated. That news has made my day.
