Incredible album but.. nothing I don't have unless they've unearthed an unheard mix of New Moon On Monday. It was never called Dance Mix. The Reflex was of course..
Only thing that really jumps out at me (besides CD2, Track 4) is what remix it'll be of I Feel For You. I'd really like the original 12" mix on CD. Kept my vinyl 12" all these years.

We've got Climie Fisher and the Sheena Easton Boxset coming (the latter was slated for Xmas 2024), although December has never been a big month for Cherry Red releases.
Hi @Anjoel40 any news on the Climie Fisher reissue please? Every time I see the newsletter my heart hopes! I see there is a Danny Wilson 5CD box coming in February.

Vinny said a week or 2 ago he was waiting for some codes from the label in order to release the announcement. I think they are being cautious after the Nik Kershaw fiasco. I am sure they want all their ducks in a row before they announce a release date. It's often labels that hold these things up, dragging their feet towards completion.

Thank you, still can’t wait for what I hope is one of the reissues of the year!

Thank you for your email. Here is the info you asked for:

Do you know why the box has been delayed again? – It is out in February – there were legal problems that had to be sorted hence the delay but we have added 5 tracks that weren’t on the original version

Do you know if any tracks will be sourced from vinyl? – Not to my knowledge if there are they should be noted in the book

Do you have the duration of “radio musicola single edit” – 4.16

Kind Regards

Cherry Red Records

So what's this about there being a cock-up on the Superdeluxeedition Thompson Twins' "Into The Gap" Blu-Ray with "Doctor Doctor" being an instrumental version on the 5.1 album mix? Didn't anyone listen to it? I seem to recall Paul Sinclair kicking up a fuss about cock-ups on other releases, so it would be somewhat hypocritical if he didn't go out of his way to try and redress matters.

I would assume BMG hold the cards on this one. Paul probably didn't listen to the 5.1 because it's all about the Atmos these days. And there are typos on the SDE slipcase too, which is unfortunate. Far be it for me to give advice, but I'd take this is a sign they need to slow down a bit with trying to put out as many of these titles as they can, because quality control is suffering.

It looks very unlikely that any repress or reimbursements will happen.

It’s also become unaffordable too, the rate he’s been announcing them I’ve had to stop collecting, which was a hard decision especially since I love Simple Minds, he’s been pushing the price up too.

It's possible there will be leftover stock....Into The Gap hasn't nearly sold out (100-150 remaining), so the Simple Minds ones might still be available next year. They're something I might have bought too, had there not been so many SDE BluRays lately and the price been so high for some.
