Thanks! I find it's not fair to give songs that you are totally unfamiliar with a quick listen then try and rate them up against songs you know like the back of your hand! They always come off so much worse.

Generally I was amazed how many songs have great intros and instrumental parts. I prefer their ballads and Marie's parts but overall they have great quality.

It was hard to decide between three songs for my 11 but I think I picked my fave now.

Scores are in! My score key, in case the link in my signature isn't working:

I ended up with an overall average of 7.26, which is a little lower than I expected, but there were just a few tracks that had me going "wtf" and those scores dragged things down a bit. For the most part, I really enjoyed the tracklist. Can't wait for the results to begin!

My average for the regular rate is 7.14 and for the optional 5.04 whoops so that makes 6.09 generally but that's mostly cause some songs are 0's or very lows.

I always thought back in the olden days when I participated in rates that I ought to change my scoring so that I give the worst song 0 and the best song 11 and plot the others through that, but I still just can't do it. There are so few songs in existence that would score less than about 4 to me.

(My average for the compulsory is a 'higher than I'd expected' 8.16, and exactly 6 for the optional).
