My current latest opinion on the album:

Amaze
Here Standing
Ego
One Shot
Wordshaker
Open Up
Loose Control
Not Good Enough
Deeper

Good
Forever Is Over
Denial
2AM

Take or Leave
No One

So basically, after having the album almost a month, I now enjoy 2AM and no longer skip it, and my only skipped track is now No One. Most of the "good" tracks have shifted up to "amaze".

Still listening to and still loving the album, which is always good!

I wish Deeper and/or 2am could be singles,as they're my favourite tracks, but I know they won't be. Boo. I will settle for Here Standing as a compromise though. *prays*

Apparently that sounds too much like No Air to be a single.... personally I don't see any similarity but that seems to be just me.

I hear no similarities either so not just you.
I can hear it, but it doesn't bother me.

I seriously can't believe some of the things I'm reading on this thread. Pure madness.
Vanessa White is by far the most talented and accomplished singer in the band and the girlband industry, thus she features more on the album than rather Frankie or Mollie who, to be frank, can't sing for shit.

Re: The Saturdays - Wordshaker (2nd album - October 12th)

Mollie's vocals make me cringe. She is just so cheesy in every way. I love her personality and some of her sexy vocals from the first album. But with this new album Mollie ruins a lot of the songs. For example, there is no way she should have sang lead on Open Up and the "whose that boy" on Loose Control.......

Vanessa and Una should be the lead singers along with Rochelle like the first album.

I think she has a really smooth voice.

I think it's so much better that they let Frankie and Mollie have more lines in this album.

Me too. I've just never liked Vanessa's voice much,or Una's really, except at certain moments,so getting a chance to hear Frankie and Mollie (and Rochelle) more is great for me as I actually enjoy listening to them, even if they're not technically as good.

I don't really think any of their voices are too amazing (with the possibly exception of Vanessa, who uses her voice for evil rather than good alot of the time). They work well together, but I'd hate a solo album from any of them.

What a fabulous description! It's spot on,too. If she'd tone it down a bit I think I would like her, I liked her verses in Up and Fall and the studio version of Chasing Lights, but she's gone in for the yelling a lot more on Wordshaker.

Are they actually saying "Who's that whore?" in Lose Control. Silly mogs. Don't they know the PJ rules?

Now I'm always going to think of "Who's that whore"! I love Lose Control, I can't believe I didn't like that song at first. Also, I absolutely love Vanessa's voice.

I like all the songs on the album now. Even though I like Ego I think Here Standing would have made a good second single now. It is very wintery and lovely. My favorite song off the album is still Denial.

My most played song from this "era" or whatever you want to call it is I Can't Wait. I really overplayed that a lot. It is a good song though, I love it.

Re: The Saturdays - Wordshaker (2nd album - October 12th)

I actually keep singing "ooh glucosamine" in that bit AND I DO NOT KNOW WHY.

Re: The Saturdays - Wordshaker (2nd album - October 12th)

Hows the album doing in the charts? Mollie's voice is sickly sweet

I find Una's voice to be really raspy most of the time, bar Up.

Releasing 14th December which is the Christmas chart week is very risky. A Top 5 placing will be a problem, I fear.

I doubt they care where the single lands, I'm sure there shoving the single out at Xmas to stop the album tanking as hard as it is right now. If they are in debt with fascination, they need to take advantage of the Xmas sales.

Really? How exactly does this happen, I've never properly understood - how does a band become indebted to its label?

Simples. Record company puts money up front to make album. Say album one recording plus costs of videos, artwork etc amaounts to 1 million. Album sells enough to earn everyone involved £750,000, act still owe record company £250,000. If the next album costs £1 million but sells enough to earn £1,250,000 act will break even. And album 3 has to cost £1 million but make £1,250,000 to start earning any money.

The video premiere for this can't be very far away can it? Forever Is Over is disappearing really quickly.

It's probably fairly soon, the girls saw it for the first time during the week so it must be finished/almost finished.
