The Saturdays

Some sites are quoting April 29th as a release date.

They get their information from places like this. The title was posted here first by saturdays20, Hotel_Paper said it was out in April, I said the other day that I'd heard the release date was 29th, now the sites quote 29th April. As far as I know nothing is concrete yet which is why there has been no big announcement, if they announce it too early, someone will just place their single in the same week for an easy ride. They need to make sure no one big is releasing a single in the same week.

This is true.. I wouldn't mind them keeping it all hush hush officially for a while longer now to prevent something like that happening.

This is random but I was thinking yesterday.. if/since the single is called 30 Days it'd be cool if each day in April they released something to tease the fans.. video teasers, lyric teasers, pictures from the video set, stuff like that etc since there's 30 days in April and it's rumoured to be slated for release on the 29th (obviously on the 30th day the fans would have the full song). Just thought it'd be something different and a good way to get interest. Although they'd probably run out of stuff to tease/build hype with halfway through and people might get bored.. so maybe this is flawed.

No thank you, I choose my own destiny. [/britney stan]

The 30 day teases would be overkill. Have we not learned from Britney's "Hold It Against Me" countdown? Took too long. Even when the girls did the promo for "Notorious" it kind of gave away too many scenes from parts of the video and didn't really get that many views or pump me up as a fan. I think making an announcement 2-3 days before the video premiere is perfect in my opinion. Getting the girls to show up to a big radio show to premiere the song would be ideal with a day ortwo of anticipation.

he / him
He's right, Stooshe are a shit stain on the UKs glorious girl group history. They don't even deserve top 100, let alone top 10.

Sometimes I forget that Mollie was rejected from The X Factor two times, but it proved that if you work hard enough, you'll make it just like she has. It would be amazing if she becomes a judge.

Well they're top 5 actually which they thoroughly deserved~~~

Better than The Shaturdays~~~~

Oh for fucks sake. They're completely different girl groups visually and sonically. I thought playground sniping and competing was for 5 year olds.

I like both of them but don't view one better than the other. They're completely different and virtually incomparable.

If any of The Saturdays were ever considered for The X Factor, I would prefer Rochelle and Frankie because they have the most experience in the music industry.

It would never happen but I'm wishing Simon Cowell somehow learns about her, sits up and takes note of her, falls in love with her like everyone else...
...

As many of us remember, he learnt about her a long time ago. She would be a better judge than Frankie, but I don't watch the show so I don't know much about it. I'm a bit curious about how Tulisa did last year, for instance.

Rhombus was clearly being jokey. And I don't think he was the one that started slamming girl bands in the first place.

The girls aren't controversial or outspoken enough. The X Factor relies upon drama and I can't see any of The Saturdays ever causing any especially not Mollie. Frankie comes across as pretty bland when she's on TV. Rochelle or Una are the only ones I could see working but I don't think it'll ever happen.

Rochelle needs to come on the X-Factor and show them who's the new HBIC.

That, or Una could come in, but she strikes me as more of a perfect fit with "The Voice". Rochelle doesn't play off well against other people sometimes (which is why she would work on X-Factor), but Una does.

Ness probably wouldn't even make it to the first taping... Mollie would work, I guess. The new nation's sweetheart. And Frankie isn't exactly the most loved member among the X-Factor demographic.

I've been looking at tour performances, and the Headlines ones are really good even if they are composites of two different shows. My favourite though is the Arthur's Day performance of Notorious. I didn't think this song would sound good with live vocals but if anything it sounds better.

Rochelle and Tulisa are good friends, I think they would make a good pairing. Una has a great personality and when she's talking about music, her passion is really obvious, she'd work well too. I just don't think Mollie could bring the tension that's needed between judges, she's too nice and she'd probably be eaten alive by the press and judges alike. Rochelle and Una seem like the only ones who could handle it.

Simon didn't even know who Frankie was though and she's the most recognisable member, I think the general perception is that they're all a bit bland and uncontroversial so I don't think any of them would ever get the job. They go for people who are mouthy and/or high profile.

See, I was just thinking about that recently. The girls don't really have much going for them, do they? I mean, the only time we ever see people talking about them is when they've got a new single out. The only press they get is when they're out and about and that doesn't exactly make me pay attention. Other than that, they're completely out of public consciousness.
