I feel like Scary Movie 2 was sabotaged. All of those scenes and the additional ones on the dvd flesh the story out so much better. The movie is a short 75 minutes so keeping that stuff in wouldn’t hurt in anyway. I think with them included, it’s the best Scary Movie film.

Yeah Scary Movie 2 is a hot ass rushed mess luckily saved by several iconic moments and Cindy/Brenda serving as usual. The skeleton scene lives rent free and I think about it probably every day. "Cindy this is bones!" Would you run from Calista Flockhart!"

I finally watched Scream VI and it was absolutely worth the wait - I didn’t realise that Sam, Tara, Mindy and Chad would take such space in my affections so quickly.

Gale was iconic as always, Kirby added lots of fun… the opening was lots of gruesome fun and Sexy Boyfriend (Dan?) was a nice addition.

I even loved the killers… to quote Bailey at the reveal OBVIOUSLY it’s me…

Which brings me to my biggest takeaway that I haven’t seen mentioned so much… this has the best, tightest and funniest screenplay since possibly the original (give or take a Scream 2). Growth.

I remain that it is a really fun ~slasher with some tight performances and a funny script but I do lean more towards Scream 5 being a more satisfying entry these days.

For me its like the first two. I know Scream is a better film but I prefer Scream 2. Scream 5 definitely had higher stakes / Sidney, but I prefer 6.

Scream 6 has better dialogue, set pieces, directing, cinematography and pacing then 5. Just lacking in the stakes but I still don't mind as long as they kill main cast members in the next one.

I agree with the first two being high up but as much as I love the 3rd - how is that no 1 in their ranking with 6 last?
