The Sound of Arrows

It's just so sparkly and wonderful...Given how much I listened to Into the Clouds and Nova I think I might be listening to this for a long time.

Was just lamenting the lack of booklet until I found it! (I was too awed by everything else, clearly). Lyrics, gorgeous photos, and a lovely shout out to "devoted and patient fans." All that love comes rushing back.

I love it. It drips with quality. I have a particular fondness for My Shadow and think that instrumental discs will save the music industry.

I was hoping Will Young’s Echoes was going to be a bit more like this.

Everything is just incredible. Subtler as a whole and less ambitious than I had anticipated, but nonetheless a remarkable album that grows with every listen. And NEVER IN MY LIFE have I enjoyed instrumental tracks as much as I've enjoyed the bonus CD.

I wasn't sure if anyone else felt the same, but My Shadow is my absolute favorite track on the album at the moment. Probably because of what I'm going through personally, but it's also such a damn good tune!

^ My Shadow is definitely one of my favorites on the album. Listening to it on headphones a little while ago was like having an aural orgasm.

I am having difficulty listening to any other albums at the moment. Every time I put something else on, I just turn it off and put Voyage back in.

The only thing I don't like is that for some reason Nova always seems to fly by really quickly when I listen to the album. I do wish it had gotten an extended intro or something, because it's just as amazing as it ever was.

Agree with the last few comments and definitely one of the albums of the year. A close run thing between this and M83 for electronic classic of the year! What both of those albums also have in common is some lovely artwork.

The version of Nova on the 3 track promo has a nice intro.

I have some questions :

- the instrumental album is the same as the "normal" album (except for the lack of vocals obviously) but has a 12th track. Is it the same as the long instrumental released on the Magic 12" ? What's its title ?

- do the 2 itunes bonus tracks appear somewhere else ?

The album is amazing, by the way.

The extra track is the full "Longest Ever Dream"

The album is fascinating. I can't stop listening to it. 'Conquest' is the sexiest song ever made. And 'Wonders' just floods me with nostalgia I don't even know of.

6+ listens in: There is no doubt that this is the album of the year. The most beautiful, moving, and exciting album I've heard in ages.
