10+11s
I thought I'd also do an aggregate of the 10s and 11s here, because that would represent the maximum range of appreciation. A ranking of just the 10s would be somewhat unrepresentative. It really does show how "Overload" (#9) was somewhat tanked, whereas "Round Round" (#6) got by on less overall love but not many low scores.

I see no commentary for that evil 3 from @PLUTO. No justification for this fuckery?
As appalled as I am by this heinous score for an amazing track, I'm inclined to let it go since it didn't prevent the right song winning!

Unless of course @fancygreen is up for dissecting @PLUTO 's entire contributions to this thread to discern what could have prompted this egregious lapse of judgement.
PLUTO was last seen:Mar 27, 2017

Did someone run away when they realised Ace Reject could win this?
@PLUTO is harmless; I suspect xe is taking one of zir seasonal electrolyte replenishing deep dives in the Dark Atlantic. Though I'm sure I'd feel less amused with qis antics if qe had managed to actually tank "Ace Reject". Apart from a few bombs, their scores were fairly non-objectionable all around, I must say.

I didn't want to defile the writeup but this is what xey said about it (as well as "Conversation's Over" and "Never Gonna Dance Again"):
the ones below are definitely demo-y trash nonsense shan't, can't, won't, précieux!

Er, @beyoncésweave, I should definitely be in the top ten scorers for Taller. I'm pretty sure my score for the standard album is something like 9.318.
I have you down with a 8.452 average for the standard, which makes you the 17th highest scorer. Please don't tell me I entered your scores wrong, I'm blocking my ears and screaming right now!

WHAT THE FUCK. @Rhombus and @Number I'm sorry I ever thought you had taste. xx
Oh, I should've put in an addendum. Lack of 10s =/= lack of appreciation. Most of the low 10-givers had pretty high overall averages; they were just sparing with the 10s. Some of them used a full 100 point decimal scale, which meant there were a lot of 9-10 scores that weren't rounded up.

Chill, sis.

Loving the statistical analyses, though somewhat surprised that I was the 2nd overall lowest scorer with an overall average of 6.13. I guess that's just the way I score - my average for the ongoing ABBA rate (a rate of similar scope) is 6.23, and it doesn't diminish that I consider both artists quite excellent.

Although the next time I participate in a @beyoncésweave rate, I am quite tempted to send in my scorecard consisting entirely of irrational numbers (such as multiples and fractions of pi) just for the added mathematical lulz.

I wanted to say a little about the covers since making them was one of the most enjoyable aspects of running the rate. My favourites to make were the One Touch and Angels With Dirty Faces ones, because the promo photos from those eras were so lovely. Just really casual shots with the minimum level of posing. (Also shoutout to "Freak Like Me" which has my absolute favourite official cover; so gorgeous).

The Three and Sweet 7 ones were a lot of fun to make but super time consuming, because of all the different elements from the more graphic-minded design aesthetics from those eras. The Change ones were a blander version of that – the magazine editorial-esque promos weren’t quite my cup of tea.

The Catfights ones were the hardest to source, plus there were only three official reference points (album cover + two singles). I suppose they were somewhat tepid. Taller was by far the worst; the art direction for the era was so insipidly bland, like terrible outfits, poses and font-work.

It was also fun/frustrating catching out the official covers being internally inconsistent (there was often one cover that was different to the others in each era, e.g. – “Shape”, “Caught In A Moment”). And let me not get into wildly inconsistent font thicknesses and kerning, gorl. Them mid-00s Island Records marketing department interns have a lot to answer for.

These were a kii and a half to make. I was basically giggling to myself the whole time I was making them.

My discovery of this rate has been Conversation's Over. I don't think I really paid much attention to a large number of Three album tracks before this rate (Million Different Ways and Whatever Makes You Happy have been favourites for years, though). Listening to it for this rate made me give Conversation's Over a 9.5, and by the time the reveals were halfway done I was kicking myself for not giving it a 10. Such an amazing song.

Yes to more Conversation's Over love. I am kicking myself for not giving it a 10 as well. Three was such a strong album, hey?

Funnish fact when I first got into the Sugababes I downloaded everything I could from Limewire and fell in love with Ace Reject and didn't know for two years that it was the radio version. When I finally got the real version it was like my ears had an o. It's so much better full length and I think that's why I don't mind that it never became a single.

Even before this post I was thinking I'd spring for a high quality framing job of all the covers you made in order of elimination, arranged in a grid!

Make this happen in print quality (or maybe we could share the files I'm a graphic designer too) and I'll finally have the piece of Sugaart I've been searching for! (I ordered a Catfights-era poster but it was underwhelming upon receipt hehe).

Welp @beyoncésweave this fantasy allows me to thank you again at least! TBH I'm a little bit in mourning xoxo
