The BBC are usually better at casting their Celeb series so I'll keep the faith for now and Claudia knows how to steer the ship even if it's getting messy

It’s not actually asking that much of the celebrities in comparison to other celeb versions of shows (they don’t have to become amazing ballroom dancers, make Michelin starred food under pressure in kitchens, rough it in difficult overseas terrains etc). Maybe for the physical challenges it is demanding, but they’re not actually really very interesting to me anyway! All they have to do is go to Scotland (?) and pretend to be bad or figure out who is pretending to be bad. So hopefully they can get a good mix of names and not the usual celeb show circuit names (TOWIE, Chelsea, Gogglebox faces etc).

Claudia has said in the past that she wants Victoria Coren Mitchell (one of her closest friends) as a contestant due to her poker background.

She so fucking would. I think she’d get banished quite quickly though as contestants would assume she could play a great game and therefore mistrust her.

Watching the Canadian (second) series and the product placement is hilarious.
There’s a close up of Jacob’s Creek bottles at least twice per episode and in the latest one the host swanned in slow motion to a Nissan - zoom in on the logo - and there was a shot of it gliding majestically down a picturesque road.

Canada S2 and New Zealand S2
So far, yes! There’s a weirdly personal edge to the accusations both in and out of the round table but it’s riveting television all the same. The choice of traitors is great bar one of them, but it feels vital in all the right ways.
