  1. I just came back from Athens and phew. The food, the weather, tons to do...the men. I'd highly recommend it.

  2. I love Athens so much – it's not the prettiest city but the food, drink and dick is cheap, nourishing and plentiful. @Vasilios' travel agent pitch on the previous page has definitely made me curious about taking a cute lil island break this spring.

  3. I mean imagine having iconic ancestors so iconic that they created this to worship in a religious space:

  4. Thank you very much! I'm still on early stages of planning everything, I'm also adding Istanbul!

  5. I'm going to Greece as part of a Mediterranean Cruise next year so this info is helpful. I think the one we're doing hits Athens, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Turkey, Crete, and back to Athens.

  6. I know sis I visited all three (and with my family, pre sexual awakening etc), I was just oversimplifying. Santorini is pretty unique though and Crete is the most historically important one. Mykonos is great, but to me it looks like many other towns in Greece.

  7. I'm making a "surprise" visit to see my fiance in London next month. I'm pretty excited, it's been 8 months. Hoping to visit some new places around when I go this time!

  8. This doesn't make any sense.

  9. I remember my first night/time in Athens. I remember the museums. I remember the hot, hot, hot policemen. I remember the amazing, delicious food. I remember going up the ruins for the first time. I remember shopping like a whore at the square. I remember having sex at 3am with a Greek God in his car parked outside my apartment (cause my housemate was sleeping) and we were sweating it all out and half-stopping midway while passerbys were lurking...

  10. Hello! To bring this back a bit, since all my actual friends are a bit poor and never went... Does anyone have a great recommendation for Tenerife? Spain is my dream country, and the islands are beautiful. I've already been to Mallorca, so I kind of know what to expect. I'm just looking for a beautiful beach that's well connected to the rest of the island. Not much of a party animal. Thank you in advance!

  11. Stay in the north of the island, It's beautiful. I stayed in La Orotava. You can even see the volcano (Teide) from the town. Not sure if you drive, but you can easily hire a car to drive around the whole island as it's pretty small. If not, I'm sure you will be able to jump on a coach trip to explore the volcanic park.

  12. I'm planning my trip and would like to see if anyone's been to these cities and would recommend them?

How's Riga like? What about Warsaw? And how's Italy's Bologna? Any thoughts about Bucharest?

    Let a sister know, thanks!

  13. Warsaw I've found perfectly pleasant, but not the most lively place. I loved that they reconstructed the old town (the entire city was razed during world war 2) but others find it fake. In Poland, I would sooner recommend Krakow to visit.

  14. Riga is not a big city and as a tourist you can pretty much see everything in one day. I think it's the least "well-kept" city out of the three baltic capitals but there are still a few nice things to see.

Warsaw is a very interesting city, at least architecturally speaking. The post war reconstruction was handled in different ways in different areas of the city but I personally really enjoyed it, even if I saw it in March (when it's still quite dark and grey). I would recomment the summer months anyway, as there are some stunning parks with lakes and palaces. It's the closest city to Berlin atmosphere-wise I can think of. It's very different from Cracow which is basically a stunning historical monument. (They are a couple of hours away from one another with the fastest train anyway).

It's been years I don't visit Bologna but for sure the historical city is beautiful and the food is great.

  15. Thanks for the tip sis. I've decided to head to Riga + Cracow.

    Now it's a toss up between Bologna/Marseille/Valetta.

  16. If you need more info about Cracow let me know, I've lived there for a few months a couple of years ago.

  17. I'm going next weekend actually. I've been before, but just toured around the old town and visited Auschwitz. What are some standouts to see?

  18. I've actually signed up for the tour as well @Gasur! Thanks @Verandi - I'll be bugging you on PM closer to my trip. Are you on Instagram by the way?

  19. @Meathook + @Gasur no worries feel free to send me a pm, maybe it's faster on Insta I suppose, so I will know what you're usually looking for in a city.

I hate to self promote nn but for reference the pictures from this to this are taken in Cracow. There are some others scattered in my feed but maybe you'll find something interesting.
