    Mentored by Cheryl Cole.
Leona was mentored by Simon Cowell.

If the BBC ever want this show to become successful, it needs to accept the fact that its not just about the voice.
  2. In which case it needs to change the name.

The show should be all about 'The Voice' and there is definitely a decent show to be made from that concept. This just isn't it.

The whole premise is fatally flawed anyway.

The problem is the prize is a record contract, so for the whole process to be worthwhile they need a winner who is more than just the voice.

The last 2 years have been a compete waste of time from Universal's point of view.
  4. The problem isn't about finding a winner who is just a 'voice', Richard and Adam have just had 4 weeks at number one and, well, they're not exactly charismatic are they? People just like their voices. It's the faux 'authenticness' that stops the talent from this show doing well afterwards. The 'oh we're all REAL artists as opposed to the x factor karaoke puppets' which, post show, you realise they aren't particularly amazing or original.
  5. Tribal Spaceman

    Tribal Spaceman Oh, OK.

I think the audition process needs to be opened up to everyone, instead of it just being a bunch of hand-picked singers that have (usually) already had some success. I'm not saying we need to see crowds of loonies lining the streets in pink wigs and tutus, a la X Factor, but it would be nice if it felt a bit more organic.
  6. They just need to pick better people, give them better songs and actually do some promotion around the winner.

    It's not rocket science.

Leanne was a fantatsic singer who could easily have sold records in a Rumer/Caro Emerald/Adele type way, but her album was D.O.A as no one knew it was even being released.

The BBC are absolutely hopeless at promoting any of their products.
