The Weeknd - Dawn FM

He already had an arena tour and then they upgraded to stadiums… I doubt they’ll pull that again, because it was a mess. The tour is more than half sold out at the moment, so I don’t think they’ll have a problem moving tickets for these dates if he does some promo

Toronto only having 500 tickets left is a kii tough.

Maybe people just don't want to pay $300 for nosebleed seats I dunno.

That plus the nightmare of numerous delayed / indefinitely postponed shows and events over the last two years.

I’m sure tickets will pick up closer to the date but it was a brave and questionable move aiming for stadiums.

I truly can't believe we have arguably one of the biggest pop stars in the world sampling a Tomoko Aran song and spreading the gospel of city pop in The Year of Our Lord 2022. Might just fuck around and laminate my stan card (particularly if interest in the song leads to Fuyu-Kukan finally being available to stream

Unless he's planning on some sort of radical shift in sound after this, I can't say I'd be happy about that because like...mid-career name changes rarely ever go well nn. Kesha's the only pop star in recent memory I can think of that managed to maybe-kinda-sorta pull it off

The original theory is that he was doing it because he was getting into acting and developing TV shows and possibly not making music for a while. Although, I don't really buy that last part, because he seems very excited about making music still.

Kesha? A name change? Didn’t she just change the $ to S? That’s not really a name change, it’s literally the same name.

I mean, you're not wrong so that was maybe a bad example dd. But the $ was such a heavy part of her initial branding (and associated with her early sound) that even the act of dropping it period felt significant.
