The White Lotus (HBO)

It's funny. I remember being completely underwhelmed by the second season trailer and then finding the season to somehow be even better than the first. I wasn't underwhelmed by that trailer at all (on the contrary, it looks great), but I just don't think trailers can capture the lightning in a bottle magic this show manages to produce. I love Thai culture and anything set in Thailand, so I am so anxious and excited for this season.

I'm so sat.

(I know it's obvious, but is this meant to be a 'who and how did they get killed' per season kind of show?)

Okay I knew it would be
Greg
coming back when early reviews mentioned a shadowy figure from the past would also be making a return. I like how they kept it under wraps until the premiere and I hope he plays a more central role to the season rather than just an appearance in passing.
From seeing the first 3 episodes
it definitely seems like he is part of a proper storyline so far

WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK.
To expand on this thought:

One of my favorite things about The White Lotus is, with very few exceptions, you don't actually root for anyone. No one is particularly likable, morally sound, or deserving of any good fortune their way, which makes for an exciting watch. I never go into any particular scene or situation hoping for anything or wanting a certain character to come out on top - it's usually just this weird pit in my stomach and the impending dread that's about to happen and I'm sat regardless. It makes for a really fun watch. Loved this premiere.
