The Winners Rate! Ultimate Winner!

Which voting system has your preference (multiple answers possible)?

  • Just the good old system: 0-10 with that elusive sole 11

    Votes: 30 57.7%
  • I would prefer two 11's to make life a bit easier

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • No! Just one 11, but two 10,5's to make a bit of an impact!

    Votes: 6 11.5%
  • For the three mentioned above I do not mind scoring with 0,25 too.

    Votes: 5 9.6%
  • Popcontest/eurovision style top 40, with my number 1 getting 40 points and the last one: 1 point

    Votes: 18 34.6%

  • Total voters

Finally! The time has come to decide which song is the winner of all winners. Only the finest will compete against each other with their magnum opus. In some cases artists have more chance, because multiple songs from them are up for voting.

But with lists like these, some artists are nowhere to be found. Personally, the most shocking is miss diva extraordinaire and queen of all queens. She is the ultimate pack-leader of the caviar ratchet genre; the voice of our generation: Christina Aguilera.

Luckily Britney is here to represent former-Disney queens.

... and Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato

We all know Fighter would have won if the Christina-rate would have taken place from 2013-2015, as that timeframe was chosen. The line has to be drawn somewhere! Extending the timeframe would make it a too long list! Also Sugababes just missed out unfortunately.

Luckily we have 77 songs competing for that ultimate winner crown. I expect a bloodbath, but please do not forget:

And now some useful info.

The dates
As I am having a busy period at work because of deadlines until the 19th of February you will be able to vote until then. This means 6 weeks of voting, so that should be more than enough. After that I am free from work for a whole week. The reveals will most likely take place then, so now I am not planning extension.

How to vote?

As the democratic survey points out it will be the classic way of voting! Rate all the songs from a scale starting at 0 until 10. You have the ability to score 3 songs differently. One 11 is allowed and two 10,5's. None of those three are obligatory, but if it helps you out, use them! Also, you are allowed to use 0,25 points (e.g. 7,25 or 9,75) and I am asking you to use them as those could be potential tie-breakers!

IMPORTANT: As most of the songs are considered among their fans favourites I am asking you to take that into account when providing your (lower) scores. Trolling will not be appreciated.

Commentary, however, will be much appreciated!!! (But is not obligatory ofcourse).

I also felt like this rate was missing some thing. I normally have an album to root for, but now there is only one album featured twice (Kelegend obviously). I came up with the idea to divide all the artists in a certain group. There are now mini-rates within the rate as a whole. During the reveal I will also mention that songs placement within the group it is placed in. So now you can stan for your faves, but also your fave group(s)!

PS: This is my first rate. Bear with me a bit please.

PPS: Let us all praise @LPMA for having this fabulous idea and @DJHazey stanning hard for it and making the songlist!

Dancing On My Own or Like A Prayer HAVE to win this, though I would give a 10.5 to Overdose.

ONE ELEVEN! What's the point in having more than one or a system that goes over ten? No point trying to fix what isn't broken.

Anyway, my faves have no chance so I don't think there's much point in me playing along. Let me act the victim a little.

I am just fine with the good old system. I just want to check if everyone is okay with that!

But your faves will most likely need your help to get higher!

So exciting!!! Gutted for my poor Kelis missing out though.

Yeah when creating this I had to choose a cutoff. January 2013 (when rates the way we do them today really got going) to December 31,2015 seemed like a good time frame. We ended up with 77 songs which is just on the edge of becoming too much, so that's good. Now the next installment could be like January 2016 to December 2017 as stated.

Is there a reason the winner of my Janet rate isn't included? I know it was a million years ago and so utterly basic by modern rate standards, but it would be nice to see Ms Jackson represented here.

I cannot seem to find it with the search tool. When did it took place? There has been cutoff at 2013, because it had to be somewhere because of length. That is why Christina Aguilera and Sugababes (also two huge forum faves) are also missing. Both their rates were in 2012.

Ah, it was all the way back in 2011, so wouldn't have been eligible then.

A shame, because If should clearly win the whole thing.
