The X Factor 13 (UK 2016)

I was half joking about Davina. I wish she'd been the original presenter 13 years ago but now it does seem a bit late.

Although, if they want to reach a broader, older audience....who knows.

I just want anyone but Dermot, and none of the names mentioned on here so far has the profile to host a show that's competing with Strictly.

It could well be Mulhern, come to think of it. *shudders*

Davina is very... 2001

I wouldn't mind Rochelle moving over from Xtra Factor.

I don't agree with Rochelle, but yeah, Davina isn't going to work in 2016. Especially after she presented Popstars: The Rivals all those years ago.

I honestly can't imagine who it will be though. They don't have a very wide talent pool to pick from given that Saturday morning kids television has vanished from mainstream, and T4 no longer exists.

Holly won't take a show on ITV2. She (thinks) she's too big for that now. I think they'd struggle to get her even for the main show.

I literally just Googled 'British TV presenters' and the only name I can see fitting the bill is Helen Skelton.

I wouldn't be surprised if they asked Rylan.

I never thought about Blue Peter presenters.

I honestly can't see ITV allowing Rylan or anyone on that X Factor team thinking that would be a good idea. They're going to be very cautious after Caroline and Olly, especially given that those two had worked well on Xtra Factor and Caroline is pretty experienced.

They might look at Whitmore if they paired her with someone.

I think she's probably a very good shout. I'm worried they'll get Rylan on board, but I think they're better having one main presenter and two presenters on Xtra Factor.

HAHAHA! Zoe Salmon is absolutely gorgeous.

Laura Whitmore is the best suggestion we've had. As foolish as this may sound, I wouldn't be surprised if they paired her with Ashley Roberts to rival Tess and Claudia.

Ashley Roberts is a dreadful presenter, she can't even present the little segment she has on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway that she has.

Rochelle is too bland for the main show and inexperienced.

I'd hate Laura Whitmore, honestly I actually think Davina would be great, never happen in a million years though, Simon will see her as too old now.

I think losing Olly and Caroline is a real shame. They were one of the changes I felt worked. I'd take a couple of gaffs if it means more enthusiastic, energised presenters any day.

The fact that there is no real 'better' option than them makes me wonder whether Olly just didn't think it was worth the grief he got on social media and the distraction from touring (which is way more lucrative). And then once he was gone, keeping Caroline on her own wasn't enough of a draw.

In which case, I'd rather then look at one GREAT presenter, than pairing two that are an unknown quantity; particularly when the format doesn't really lend itself to pairs (and I think that would rule out Laura as she's not a big enough name to carry it alone).

I'd like a comedian to do it; someone who can send up the whole preposterousness of it in a loving way, like Graham Norton can when he does Saturday night stuff. Graham and Alan Carr are both under exclusive contract with other channels. But Paddy McGuinness is an ITV name.

Let's be honest, they probably both got fired. Maybe not Caroline but definitely Olly.

I'm not one of those people who go around saying "I won't watch it!", but I legitimately would not watch Paddy presenting The X Factor. I can't see them going with anyone over the age of 40.
