I wouldn't be too sure. X Factor's ratings issue really isn't with the younger demo which is pretty profitable for ITV. The problem is with it's overall numbers. I think older viewers basically abandoned it with the combo of Nick, Rita, Olly and Caroline. An older host would offset a youngish panel.

I really don't want Rylan gurning his way through The X Factor. He's become a parody of himself lately. I used to enjoy him on Big Brother's Bit On The Side but he really hams it up these days.
Emma would be good, but it is getting a bit silly in the UK that the same half dozen faces present everything.

If ITV like Emma enough to have her at the X Factor host, then why wouldn't they just keep her on The Voice when it moves over?

I do agree with you but I do think Emma would be better suited to the X-Factor than The Voice.
Emma Willis has a baby due in the summer, which pretty much rules her out I would have thought. She wouldn't be able to film the auditions as she's due around then, and would then have to film bootcamp/ judges houses around the same time as the summer series of Big Brother/ Celebrity Big Brother. I don't see it at all, and they wouldn't let Rylan do it on his own.
I don't think it's entirely outside of the realms of possibility that they'll be so desperate for a 'household name' that we'll get someone from one of the American shows, not necessarily Seacrest himself but someone of that ilk. I don't think that would work at all, but I can see it happening.

I wouldn't actually be surprised if they thought fuck it and just settled for Cat Deeley. I am aware that she did that X Factor spoof and Fame Academy, but she's been away in America for ages, and she's not always been as prominent on prime-time over here, and she's relatively still young-ish.

I just looked it up. Ted Danson and Kristen Bell are in it. Let's hope it's somewhat successful, I guess.
Maybe Sara Cox for the main show and Matt Johnson for Xtra. Or maybe Miquita Oliver, I use to like her on Popworld.
The last time I saw her on TV was when she presented a show on BBC3 about bankruptcy (she went bankrupt herself) I think she also does the voice over in the Argos ads.
