What would the incentive be for these acts to take part? A cash prize or a new record deal? I unfortunately just can’t see the likes of Alexandra Burke, Leona, Diana Vickers, Joe Mcelderry, Cher Lloyd, Rebecca and Matt Cardle etc- taking part in this as the majority of them have tried to distance themselves from the X Factor label in their music or are trying to/have built a career in acting or their own music without the ‘X factor stigma’. I mean taking part in a show where they have to sing covers week in-week out and being criticised by judges again after they’ve had respectable career seems like a step back and almost insulting.
Realistically they could get Katie Waissel, Tesco Mary, Wagner and other fame hungry/desperate contestants. If they’re lucky and pay enough they could get Stacey Solomon and Jedward but I think that’s the best they could get realistically.

Yeah, I really can't see any of the bigger names being up for taking part in the All Stars series. Most have either worked to establish themselves elsewhere, fallen out with Syco, or are doing their own thing which just doesn't require them to be put under scrutiny week after week for... not much reward. Even if you're one of the B-list alumni like Matt Terry, Sam Bailey or Cher Lloyd, would being on this really offer you more career opportunities afterwards? Maybe, but I'm not convinced.

Much as I love her Leona’s voice these days would not stand up to weekly scrutiny and a midseason exit at the hands of someone more valuable to ITV (like Stacey for example) would only damage her career.
As for Alexandra, she’s doing spectacularly well on the West End and in theatre tours, to take a six month break from that only for Sandra & Bill find her ‘’’unlikeable’’’ would be foolish.

Now that I think of it, Dinah Jane as a soloist would be a good option. Always saw her as a young Leona.

There's not a chance in hell Alexandra is doing this. She's a successful theatre actress who actually gets pretty amazing reviews for the shows she's in, there's no way she's taking a break from that so she can get 8 weeks of vicious, racist trolling tearing her apart for every single little thing does.

Being on the show wouldn’t damage her acting career, it’s not like she has a legacy or a music career she could tarnish, it would be a good way to remind people why she won over JLS, and why her first album was so successful.
I'm not saying it would damage it, but it would hardly improve it when she's doing extremely well in it already. Being on Strictly barely helped her 3rd album in the charts. The likelihood is that no matter how much she smashed it (which she obviously would) she'd most probably keep falling into the bottom 2 while constantly being told she's fake, a diva, annoying, unpleasant etc. What she'd get out of it would be minimal and it wouldn't be worth all the disgusting shit she'd have to go through to get it.

Simon has said they are doing both, he doesn't know the order yet but he wants an All Star series and a Celebrity series, plus a BGT All Star series.
I wonder if they will strip the live shows across a week, like BGT. That would seem the most sensible way to do it nowadays to keep the viewers.
I can't see them going back to a normal series after this.

That’s kind sad hearing that after apparently Louis befriending him and having an influence of him going to rehab before returning to X Factor.
