This Morning

The fact that I’m enjoying Eamonn Holmes digging into Phil. The worst person you know makes a point.

I have zero ounce of sympathy for Eamonn’s bitterness, though.

Absolutely not falling for his act. He's just as complicit as Holly and the rest of them and is only speaking out because he's a disgruntled former employee. Same for the other pillock on that channel. If they still had their jobs their would be radio silence. Do not let them fool you.

If there is any credibility in the story that Phil and Holly have been feuding behind the scenes for months I strongly suspect it revolves around that shady YMU talent agency most of ITVs big names all belong to. Holly left them to start her own agency in 2020 and since then a couple of times it's felt to me like when they've both come under fire in the press, YMU has thrown her under the bus. Like when they both 'jumped the queue' to report on Queen Elizabeth I think Holly got it way more rough. Can totally see that straining relations.

I don't know I'm silently hoping Holly isn't that bad behind the scenes, Phil has seemingly had lots of spats in the past that she's probably been stuck in the middle of so it'll be a relief for her he's gone - isn't her husband an ITV producer anyway? Her first show back is going to be liT.

I had her on a flight once when I was a trolley dolly and she wasn’t nice at all dd

It feels like this story isn't done yet.

Now he isn't doing the Soap Awards and Dancing on Ice or his promised prime time show. I think he is career is done.

I think This Morning might need to go under a massive rebrand or it will be forever tainted by this.

Wonder if Dancing on Ice will return.

I was wondering about Dancing On Ice. Maybe Holly by herself or a new bunch?!

His agent and itv wouldn't drop him like a stone for just having an affair with someone over the age of consent.
It seems Wooton and the like new the story regarding the young runner and went to itv with it Nov 2019. Im assuming thats why Schofield was forced to publicly come out in early to 2020 in a deal with papers to stop the other story coming out.
I didn't feel his statement was completely truthful and feel there is still more to come. You can bet This Mornings news segment will keep ignoring this story to protect itv, the program and its presenters.

Maybe they'll pull This Morning for a week if this does all snowball? It'll be way too weird if they consistently side-step what's happening.

See stuff like this really bothers me. Wooton is one of the worlds biggest cunts and you just know he would have been frothing at the mouth when he got this story.

Considering that all the This Morning presenters are encouraged to adopt a “holier than you” viewpoint when interviewing anyone (which itself is always a bit Daily Mail-ish unless a presenter transcends that by having the charisma and general “good person” vibes of an Alison Hammond)… then an extra-marital affair would itself be reason to quietly remove someone (or equally something that would be quietly smoothed over by the show and never reported to us).

It would not be reason for a “close friend” to engage a full-on PR attack implying that she has discovered something she never knew before and can no longer work with him due to the “betrayal”.

That ceases being his own messy private life and becomes something that, if she knew about it, or is perceived to have known about it and not spoken up… it would kill her career by association.

The latter seems to be what we’re witnessing.

And this is 100% true too - Wooton just sees it as another scalp to claim… he has no concept of ethics and never has… he’s not reporting because of a moral obligation - imagine the shit he knows about others (or his bosses, for example) and has never pushed for publication because it wouldn’t further his career…
