This Morning

Kim Woodburn hasn't just been accepting spots on GB News but has parroted transphobic nonsense about unisex changing rooms, called for the death sentence in an interview with Nigel Farage, and spewed out boilerplate toxicity about 'the woke'. She is a deeply nasty person and I thought as a forum we had put the era of her as an icon behind us.

Literally this. Can people stop idolising this hateful bigot, please. Just because someone “took down” someone else you can’t stand doesn’t mean they’re a good person.

Thank you.

I know this is complete speculation but something must have happened with Phil/Holly and Rylan. He has close ties with Eamon and Ruth and left the show fairly quickly and quietly.

I hope we hear his opinion or story at some point.
I don’t know why and can’t quite put my finger on it, but I have this feeling that he will stay firmly quiet on the situation.

I feel that if he were to decide to spill ‘tea’ on Phil, they have just as much ‘tea’ to spill on him too surrounding his affair and possibly other ‘salacious’ moments behind the scenes.

At the moment, it all seems ‘tit-for-tat’ so it would probably be wise to stay out of the situation for fear of backlash or worse.

Rylan is a refreshingly open book and handled himself well when the videos of him using drugs recreationally came out. I feel there's definitely some animosity there, but I think he's probably mostly staying quiet because of what a shit show this all is. Everyone involved is making themselves look terrible, honestly.

I saw some Tiktok (I can't find the link again) which said The Sun only started breaking this story to distract from the phone hacking scandal rearing it's head again, which makes sense when you consider people have known about this for years. Almost as if they were waiting to use it when best suits them. I could believe that.

What seems to be unfolding is talk of Matthew's wellbeing. I just assumed he was keeping his head down but Eamon made some very specific comments about him not doing well and constantly needing money, which makes you jump to certain conclusions. Makes you wonder if Phil's treatment of him has left a deeper, longer lasting impact that he's struggling with.

I don’t think Phil liked Rylan and his more camp personality. Their shared screen time was kind of awkward.

Also, didn’t Rylan leave This Morning around the time his marriage was falling apart?

As a Yankee moron, I thank you for the cultural televisual education!

As someone who was on the verge of creating a gif archive for all the Celebrity Big Brother gifs ever used on the forum (and also as someone who wants to do better once he knows better), I thank you for the current events education!

AKA Man O Man?

I don’t know why this memory has stayed with me all these years later but I remember, during one of the final rounds of a show in the later series, there was a Q&A with a celeb panel asking the guys questions. Liz Dawn/Vera Duckworth asked one of the guys “what’s ya favourite cha’rrup line luv” and when he responded with a very 2023-friendly “I actually find chat-up lines really cheesy and degrading - I just prefer to introduce myself and gauge whether she’s interested”, he was practically booed off stage by the baying all-female audience who started the chant “IN THE POOL IN THE POOL IN THE POOL”. He tried to laugh it off and join in with the chant but he was obviously devastated - poor guy.

Oh my God. Truly the most vicious show on telly!
