Thought it was about time we had this.

I think it'all only become a success if people put the effort in to support it. I'm going to give it a good go, I've already got some ideas for acts that would fit in nicely here that'll get round to posting in the next few days.

I feel like the forum as it was lacked any mechanism to discover new things, so hopefully this place should be better.

For now it seems like PJ members dayposting about GagaBrits and at night secretly loving chill-dark-pop in the heart.
But I liked more this day than in months thanks for that.

Yeah, let Florrie, LIZ, and all of the PC Music (minus Charli XCX) stars in here.
I think Sophie, Hannah Diamond, and Danny L Harle can justify having their own major threads. The rest of PC music gang would be perfect for here though.

Florrie and Liz should stay where they are too in my opinion. This sub forum should be for people who are truly only bubbling under before making a splash in the pop scene, not just underground pop stars in general.

I just want Florrie's moved for the kii. And for Katie's meltdown.

I think it's probably best to view popstars like bikes NO HEAR ME OUT, ie if they've still got the stabilisers on they're in here but if they're sort of scooting along under the own steam without stabilisers they're in the main forum. I mean Florrie should still be in the main forum, she's had her chance, she's doing what she does, everyone knows who she is etc etc.

I don't know how I feel about the subforum. Unless it becomes somewhat popular, it probably just means less people checking out the new stuff, thus leading up to some sort of pop cemetery.

To be fair, people post about new artists in the main forum, they get one or two replies and they just sail down the forum and are never seen again. At least here people might see them if they've been off the forum for a day or two.

Definitely, I just don't feel she's 'up and coming' - she's been releasing music since 2009 and performing for longer than that.

True, but then again she's just released her first (flop) single on a major label and could potentially go on to something bigger? "Potential next big thing" seems adequate for her, especially if you consider she's best known to some as "Trap Queen" singing "Brush Your Teeth".
