The way women were viewed by the music press back then was really gross, even the ones who had female journalists. I would have said things had improved since then, but then there is that creep in jail in Romania who seems to have brainwashed some young guys … *sighs*Pretty sure Debbie Harry was often asked it too, in fact a Blondie ultimate music guide issue I got last year with archived music press interviews definitely asks her that....only it might have been more graphic (as in, do you mind the thought of boys/guys whacking off to you)....
I love Whigfield and remember rushing out on release day to buy Another Day though it didn't need the Saturday Night plinky plonky piano added to it. I always loved this version of it, a banger in its own right!
Interesting to see that that performance clearly propelled Think Twice into the Top Ten.Nice to see the rise of Celine Dion in the UK with Think Twice. Of course, it will get bigger and better come 1995...

I wonder why Sexy Eyes didn't get a proper UK release? It was massive in the clubs and I worked in a record shop at the time and so many people came in asking for it. I've got an import CD single but I always felt that would have been a really big hit for Whigfield if it had got a proper release.Loved this when I was 12. I also for some reason preferred the MBRG mix of "Think of You" which is just crazy because as good as it is, the original is close to perfection and it kills me that the UK just let that one fade away from its collective memory.
My secret kink is when "Sexy Eyes" comes on at a family event I get to tell middle-aged family members who did this and watching them go WHAT! NO WAY!
It always annoys me when people refer to Whigfield and Corona as one hit wonders when they both had a string of Top 20 hits in 94 and 95. In those dark pre-internet days it seemed like they fell off the face of the earth after that as the UK didn't get their second albums or singles.
I HATE when the term one hit wonder gets misused. It should literally mean one top 40 entry and nothing else, instead it's become "only one song that everyone remembers". I've seen right said fred referred to as a one hit wonder - and even MC Hammer!
