There’s also been some real Beekeeper love on this tour as well!
I never thought I'd see her do this again, but wow. She channels '92 Tori in this so much.
Apart from she really can’t remember her lyrics anymore, bless her
What a tour! Going into the US shows, I was nervous. The videos from the UK shows were a bit concerning in terms of her voice, but my fears were alleviated during those first few Texas shows. The way she slowly increased her confidence, energy, and vocal agility was so impressive. Jon Evans and Ash Soan are both incredible and were essential to helping her find her fire again.
Of the shows I saw, my favorites were San Antonio, Ann Arbor, and Los Angeles night 2. Favorite performances were Me and a Gun/Never Seen Blue, Bliss/Running Up That Hill, Sweet Sangria, TomBigBee, Spring Haze, Little Earthquakes, Landslide, Famous Blue Raincoat... I'm probably forgetting a chunk but she really brought her A-game to those.
She said she'll be back in LA so I'm excited to see what other spots she adds to a second leg. Not sure I'll be able to do as many as I did this time around, but I will make the time!
I would think on a second leg she would do some dates in Florida. Odd she didn’t do any shows there on this tour.
So we're definitely getting another European leg?
I don't know if this was ever posted in here—apologies if it was!—but this Tori interview is one of the best I've ever seen.
I'll give it a watch, I always find her interviews very much addictive viewing. Shame this video is SO quiet though. I'll have to get it on my TV with the volume way up.
I'm having one of those Tori periods. For one, I'm starting to miss her! I randomly started singing the title track of Ocean to Ocean the other day and it reminded me of all the shows I saw on the tour. It made me miss her, the traveling, and especially the friends I shared it all with. I'm about to move across the country and her music always seems to swoop in when I'm in the midst of big life changes. Just finished listening to Tear In Your Hand and it all felt very end of the episode music.
All of this is next and I'm curious when we'll start to hear from her again.
Ocean to Ocean European Tour 2nd leg
Ocean to Ocean North American Tour 2nd leg
Little Earthquakes comic book and B-sides picture disc
20th Anniversary of Scarlet's Walk
25th Anniversary of From The Choirgirl Hotel
Great post. Likewise Tori is a huge constant in my life. Comic has been delayed until Nov in UK was looking forward to receiving this month. Can’t wait. Have the choir girl and scarlet reissues been confirmed? This is amazing news. D
She told mentions them both in this interview just no details. I really really hope she doesn't let them pass by. They're two of her best records, and my personal favorites behind Boys For Pele. "We have plans to do different things, and of course vinyl is involved. We're working on it, definitely"
Looks like Tori may be coming back to the UK and Ireland!!! What a treat.
Can’t wait to be broke again teebs!
I am not emotionally or financially prepared for this
I hope she plays different areas this time not just Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and London.
