Tori Amos - Ocean to Ocean

They… literally call it her hometown show in her Insta story.

So I saw, which is very odd. She seems to have listed numerous shows over the years as her “hometown show”. The Charlotte show in 2007 and Durham in 2009 and 2014 were all “hometown shows”. I’m guessing she uses whichever is nearest and has relatives in the crowd.

Wondering if I should drop a stupid amount of money on the To Venus and Back bootleg picture disc vinyl that my local record shop has…

Do we feel like it’ll ever be pressed?

I think it will. Eventually. She knows people want it but just may time since we’re still waiting on Scarlet and a Choirgirl repress which she’s actually mentioned.

It seems to always just go back and forth. One minute the pressings are all destroyed and it can’t be done, next minute there’s whispering of a repress.

I suspect shes working on it. Let’s not forget that the Little Earthquakes masters were missing for years but have since turned up.

I’ll be at the Edinburgh show on Saturday night! It’ll be interesting to see if she changes the structure of the set

I wonder if her captions on Insta will have any connection?

Edinburgh gig was amazing. Never been to Queens Hall before - such an intimate venue. Loved the set list. Drummer was amazing. Tori was next level as always. On train back to Glasgow v happy - what a gig. D
Glad you enjoyed, am seeing her tomorrow night in Belfast. I had a peek at the set list and looks good although a bit disappointed she dropped my favourite part of the last London gig but I knew she was probably going to do so.

Almost always is with Tori!

Love the amount of ADP she’s pulling out.
That’s right, just mentioned it as the set list provided there mentioned one mash up and not the other.

It was great to hear the ADP tracks plus a couple of visits to Venus. It’s always surprising at her gigs how it’s a song that I previously wouldn’t have expected to ends up being my favourite of the night.

Bouncing off Clouds is one of my least favourite Tori (recorded) vocals tbh, kind of hoping I don't get that one next week, though as with most ADP songs I find the live versions area always superior. Perhaps she'll cycle through a few different openers.

Currently looking at previous playlists for this tour, the last tour, and shows in London to compile a pre-gig playlist for my very casual-fan bf's first Tori gig so he knows more than one song next week, the pressure

I'm glad I saw her before her sets became so short and it's sad the solo parts are literally just the one song now because those were the request sections and the anticipation each night to see what she'd pull out was everything!

But I can't deny how powerful the performances look and I'm hoping 'Crazy' comes out again soon.
