I just booked a last minute flight for Brussels for the weekend. Does anyone know a good club where I can go on Friday/Saturday night ?

Cave is good but is once a month, check if it's on. Just go to the gay area and enjoy all the nice bars. Stamm bar if horny dd.

Re: Philippines, i went in 2016! El Nido, on Palawan, is a great spot where you can take boat trips among the most stunning lagoons. I’ve travelled a fair bit across Asia and it really blew me away. There are beautiful beaches too. The island of Cebu right by Palawan has more of the same lovely boat day tours. I spent a few days on both but El Nido is probably nicer. (Just to note, it’s a 5 hour car ride from the main island airport, unless you fly into the teeny local airport - I think the flights are infrequent/expensive)

I found Manila a total bust im afraid. The traffic seemed to be a constant standstill, plus the typical city humidity & warnings of pickpockets. It’s inevitable to stay there as a way to get elsewhere but it didn’t leave a great impression. There’s an amazing gay club I went to, possibly it was named O Bar? On Google maps it looks the same but I’m not 100%. I also visited the shoe museum (!) of Imelda Marcos’ shoes. It was a bit surreal but something unique to do in the city. I also found the Chinese cemetery quite moving, but the person I was with was totally indifferent ddd.

Boracay is known for its stunning white beaches and tourist-esque scene. Among travellers it wasn’t spoken of that well, but I thought it was lovely.
Travelling between islands can be cumbersome and we had a lot of rain when we went; probably every day. Such a beautiful place to visit though, I have very fond memories.
Thank you so much.

Lots to unpack having a lot of similar feedback about travelling around so thinking of just limiting it to one place at most 2 given that the trip before it is going to be a lot of exploring I kinda just want us to do nothing for 10 days.

Palawan is lovely. If you have time and like the whole ‘sleeping under the stars thing, I can really recommend a 4 day expedition with Tao Philippines which goes El Nido to Coron (or vice versa).

Hands down one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Some great island hopping/day trips from Coron as well. And the airport is a 15 min trike ride with flights to Manila

Hello girlies! So... India!

I've been invited to an Indian wedding to be held just before xmas, in Bengaluru, and I need to figure out if I can make it. Despite having quite a few friends from there because of previous studies, I realized I have absolutely zero knowledge on the best way to get flights there and once there, where else to go. My European ass is not used to a country the size of a continent so I need to figure out what's actually doable.

My guess is that it will be at least 7 days and maximum 15, which i know is very little for such a vast country but I ran out of paid leave fff.

Any, and I truly mean ANY, suggestions are welcome. Thank you x

I am absolutely no help whatsoever but am very excited to hear about your trip! I'm very much hankering to try India one of these days.

Oh shit I just looked for fun and, you're gonna be in Kannada country - iconic writing script! I'm guessing Miss Dua Lingo doesn't have Kannada but maybe? Def would be a thing to look into, at least to get the basics, though if you're gonna be in close proximity to people who know the city that helps a lot. And that assumes you're even going to be in a majority-language area. I've never been anywhere that has that much linguistic diversity.

Super excited for you Verandi! I can't imagine it being anything other than legendary.

India is.. a lot. It's not for me but some people love it. Internal flights are cheap, I travelled a huge amount of the country that way. People say you only get the authentic experience by getting a train but that seems like literal hell on earth to me.

I'd suggest Goa and Kochi if you're going to be in Bengaluru. They're less insane. Avoid Delhi at all costs.

(Teebs I would just get a flight to Kathmandu - Nepal is AMAZING)

Anyone have any tips for Bordeaux? First timer. I'll be there 5 days followed by another 5 in Paris. I haven't been to Paris for years so tips would be appreciated too - any really chic bakeries, cafés, lesser known museums/galleries, lunch spots etc. Just anything a bit less obvious than the usual tourist stops.

Don’t forget that if your flights are delayed to try and claim money back. I had a cancelled flight back from Oslo in June - got rerouted via Stockholm - and I’m now getting £330 back from the airline because of it!

Yup, I think in the EU if you arrive at your destination more than 3 hours past the original arrival time you’re entitled to compensation.

We got delayed 4 hours coming home from Toronto last year and received €600 each from Aer Lingus.

We received more than we paid for the flights simply by sitting and eating pizza in an airport for 4 hours ddd.

So what’s there to do in Vegas? I’ll be there in December for a week by myself but part of it is to attend a conference

So last month my ryanair flight from Italy to Spain (don't judge, I'm poor) was delayed for more than 5 hours. Maybe it's too late for compensation now but if you gurlies have any suggestions please do let me know. The ryanair website says i can't have anything because the cause was... weather.
