True crime!

I only got to see the first episode of Worst Ex Ever but it was one of the most shocking episodes I’ve ever seen in a true crime series.

I always find it odd when you have such a clear cut case and the justice system just completely let the victims down. What he did to all three women was shocking. How was this not stopped after the first woman?!

The police were also useless in the second story as well. I'm on the third. They should've really titled this show as:

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD BE SINGLE.

The Chameleon Killer is one of the craziest cases of all-time! At one time she was the most wanted woman in the world. She would take on other people’s identities, including men. She murdered for them too. She taunted authorities. She took her secrets to her grave. Her wanted posters still give people nightmares. People still don’t know the truth about Elaine Parent.

Running currently in the UK. It’ll be on in the US next month:

I realise this is for tv based around true crime, but we don’t have a general thread for it (do we?)

The updates in the case of Asha Degree feel like the biggest true crime update we’ve had for a high profile case in years. I’m so excited by the idea of this getting getting resolved.

Has anyone watched this on Sky / Now TV? It's about Dena Thompson, the female killer in the UK in the 80s / 90s who kept killing her husbands.

Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter is one of the best true crime series I've watched on Netflix in a long time (up there with Don't F*ck With Cats).

My jaw dropped on more than one occasion and I was completely hooked from start to finish. Great pacing, twists throughout and closure at the end which is always a plus.

It’s not really tv, but I’d recommend checking out Crime Weekly’s deep dive into Gypsy Rose on YouTube. It certainly paints a different picture.

Otherwise, I don’t think I've seen anything decent of late.

4 episodes of Unsolved Mysteries on Wednesday and two appear to be paranormal? Please. The audience are literally shouting out to stop doing them, regardless of it being a part of the original shows makeup.
When you have 13-22 episodes you can do a paranormal episode here or there. When you are dropping 4? Give me a break.

Thank you for this recommendation. Into The Fire was horrific but hopeful and hit my true crime itch.

Thanks for reviewing/recommending this, it's been on my to-watch list since it was released and now I'm gonna bump it up.

I've been on a true crime break recently because nothing is HITTING. So I hope this delivers.
