Looks like a remake... and not even a good one. What a shame.
I must have watched Twister more than any other film when I was a child. I loved it and I have a fascination with tornadoes to this day. I watched it as an adult too and enjoyed it a lot. This one doesn't give the same feeling, especially having a cocky male as the lead, in contrast to Helen Hunt's strong independent woman (+a likeable Bill Paxton). Let's see how it'll turn out.
I kinda think this looks quite good. I'm excited by the fact that it's a big summer blockbuster not about superheroes or space ships.

Twister is so iconic and works well because you love the characters. I’m not feeling it with this one.
Glenn appearing in everything at the moment is a kii, he’s a fine actor but I don’t see him as a huge leading man like Hollywood is trying to force me to believe.

I honestly thought the line at 00:16 in the trailer was "A cow!". The subtitles say "Look out!" I prefer my version.How can you remake this without it’s leading star….

Glen and Daisy are perfect casting, his cocksure charisma matched with her Girl Next Door power is exactly what you want from your leads, and it looks surprisingly expensive and sleek to my eyes.
I wonder if it’s hitting a little too old school American (MAGA-adjacent) to be Popjustice friendly, but that seems like a deliberate choice from Lee Chung.

I was gonna say this. Without Tori + Helen there is no other Twister or TWISTERZZZZ.
Based on the trailer, the story looks the same as the original though? Or am I missing something? Is this an actual sequel or just a remake?

I thought in the trailer they mentioned someone who I assumed was Bill Paxton’s character. I think Helen Hunt will probably pop up.

I’m going back to Twister right now and honestly, 90s disaster movies were in a whole other level of brilliant. Dante’s Peak, Volcano, Hard Rain and Daylight were all fantastic iconic.
Spiritial sequel, so the events of the first film still happened but there may not be a strong connection to this story. It's still just a film about tornados so I guess that's why it looks similar
