UK Entry 2025

I know a full scale national final with many acts isn’t happening anytime soon for the UK especially due to budget.

But honestly why don’t they try something in the vein of Song for Europe which was used across the decades even in the 90s.

You have one act with 5 or 6 songs cut from their latest album or EP which means great promo for them on a prime time TV slot. (Act/artist doesn’t have to be major). This way they would have been live tested ticking the box for great vocals, then have a jury and public vote for the song. Then it’s half internal, half public so everyone’s happy and you’ll hopefully get a better result too! Surely worth a try?

I just wouldn't trust the British public. Previous NFs (and various political referendum) have proven this time and time again. I think the industry picks been the better option for us.

In relation to the question asked, I predict we will get something similar to Prove me Right, maybe a bit more sweeping/dramatic, but something in that vein. Not long to go now....!!

Yes agree all the signs are suggesting big ballad.

The reference to the song being classically British throws me a bit as not sure what thats would mean for a country girlband. I know with Sam they had Elton John references and Olly Pet Shop Boys. Wondering if it is reminiscent of a specific uk artist?
