Can anyone remember how the Ukraine song goes? Anyone?!
Nope! I remember there was a lot of red lighting coming out of her - made it look like her time of the month. The song only won because of the political undertones. The fact it's no where to be seen on any European itunes chart speaks volumes. Compared to Mans last year who was all over everywhere! Can anyone remember how the Ukraine song goes? Anyone?!

The rest of Europe was robbed! Robbed I tell you.Not at all.
Exactly the UK was never going to win but there were a lot of good songs this year and for that rubbish to win with an artist who really rubbed me and everyone up the wrong way everytime she opened her mouth and even worse when she "performed" is a kick in the face and in my eyes a set back for Eurovision. It is a mockery really when something that has no discernible melody or hook wins a song contest, especially given the high standard of most countries this year.
I'm not surprised. I gasped when Dami lost in the last 5 seconds!Exactly the UK was never going to win but there were a lot of good songs this year and for that rubbish to win with an artist who really rubbed me and everyone up the wrong way everytime she opened her mouth and even worse when she "performed" is a kick in the face and in my eyes a set back for Eurovision.
Friends I had in the arena in Stockholm said there was a general air of shockedness when the winner was announced.
Exactly, it felt like an anti climax - add to that a set of rowdy friends who thought it was fine to talk through the entire thing and I too had a bad taste in my mouth - next year I'm staying in, alone, with the dog! I would have been happy with an OZ win as the song was great (it was no heartbeat or sergey but still great!)I'm not surprised. I gasped when Dami lost in the last 5 seconds!
It really left me with a bad taste in my mouth and put a downer on an otherwise brilliant night.
I have to confess I don't know too much about the political situation between Russia and the Ukraine but having read a few things over the last couple of days I don't think it should have been allowed either. Doesn't explain the public vote going her way unless that was a dig at Russia too.Political songs are banned so it's strange that a song called '1944' was allowed, considering it was a year completely dominated by World War and obviously politics.
I honestly think it was - however Russia won the public telephone vote so clearly everythings just a buggers muddle in Europe!I have to confess I don't know too much about the political situation between Russia and the Ukraine but having read a few things over the last couple of days I don't think it should have been allowed either. J&J are on rylans show tonight - get that promo guys! Currently at #34 on iTunes but still the highest Eurovision song on there.
I presumed they were just signed up on a one song deal. With the "success" of the single I doubt they'll be getting a second. It's nice that they've still got promo lined up. I just hope they don't expect too much from their post-Eurovision career. They've said a view times that they're working with Sony on new music but I can't see it taking off.
