Welcome to this nostalgic trip to the past decade! The place: The UK. Our Guides: The ladies from this very land, that managed to get a #1 there! So, what was the criteria for a song to be included in this rate? 1) It was #1 in the UK according to the Official Charts between January 1st of 2010 and December 31st of 2019. 2) It has at least one British lady providing the main vocals. 3) The version included here is the one that officially got #1. That's why, for example, Florence's Spectrum (Say My Name) version here in this rate is the Calvin Harris remix and The Saturdays version of What About Us is the one featuring Sean Paul. 4) I excluded choirs and collectives (sorry Military Wives, Greenwich NHS Choir, X Factor Finalists joint singles, etc.)
1) Score each and every song between 0-10. One song, your favorite, can receive an 11. I will accept one decimal place (7.8 or 7.9 are ok, 7.25 will be rounded to 7.3). 2) Provide commentary for your 11 where possible. Give me all the reasons why that specific song is your favorite. Can be a simple fact or a really complex life story, and of course, musical reasons. For the tracks that are not your 11, you can save the commentary for the thread as we discuss each and every song before and during the reveals, or send us some to add some flavour to one eliminations. 3) No trolling! I know some artists here are not your favorites, but judge the songs themselves! Suggested deadline Submit your votes to @saviodxl and @berserkboi via PM. Submissions close July 21st

Whew 2012 was a year! Looking at the full list now, I definitely think this is manageable for me as I know most of the songs. Count me in!
Well, in theory yes. But... why? Even Miss Glynne has a couple of decent songs nn. Just be moderate! :)
Apologies if this was already done and dusted but what about Nero? I didn’t find Alana’s official birth documents or anything, but they are repeatedly referred to as a British trio and I didn’t see mention of her not being from the UK. You could also consider Kelli-Leigh, whose vocals are on Secondcity’s “I Wanna Feel” and Duke Dumont’s “I Got U.”
Kelli Leigh's case was brought to my attention. Unfortunately she's not officially credited in any of these songs. She won PJSC a while ago, when having a #1 in the UK would be a reason to be vetoed there, so I decided to leave her out.
There are a lot of classics sure... but a lot of songs which are most definitely not classics dd. Truly a rate where using the full scale is warranted.
Here for Diana to carry her goodwill from the quirky rate to this one!! Can’t wait to get started on these!
I absolutely second this. It was huge and brilliant when i saw this banger at No. 1. I recognised Alana as a member of Nero, as much as the other two, regardless of samples being all over Nero's follow-ups. They're officially known as a trio, and Alana is not uncredited, she is their lead vocalist
Hmmm this is not big so I might give it a shot. I see some 10s here (and an insta 0) so it should be fun.
