she/her

IS FINALLY HERE!
From "Oops!... I Did It Again" to "Bad Romance", the 2000s shaped my relationship with pop and laid the foundation for my taste in music. And that's why I'm so excited to bring you this edition of Ultimate Song Justice. We're going right back to the beginnings of this pink hellscape to collate the 2021 posters' absolute favourites of that period and reveal them in ascending order of points received.
Less competition, more nostalgia fest!
Speaking of nostalgia, here are the previous countdowns for complete experience:
Ultimate Popstar 2011
Ultimate Popstars 2019
Ultimate Popjustice (songs)

Ultimate Song Justice: 2010s

Submit your 20 favourite songs of the 2000s to me in a PM.
The #1 song gets 20 points and your #20 song gets 1 point.
Solo artists are considered separate from their groups.
2 is the limit of songs per artist. We need this to stop me from simply submitting my Sugababes/Girls Aloud top 10s.
Credited feature rule: "1,2 Step" and "Lose Control" on your ballot=2 songs counted for both Ciara and Missy.
Eligible release dates: January 1st, 2000-December 31st, 2009 (this will be checked).
Exceptions: 1999 album tracks first released on single in the 2000s, 1999 singles that peaked in the 2000s, - bring some receipts if you want to include those, please.
Retro clause: 2000s songs released on artists' retrospectives after December 31st, 2009 are allowed. That doen't mean re-recordings are fine, so keep your fearless vaults closed.
Only officially released music will be accepted - no Mutya version of "My Love Is Pink"'s or whatever.
Commentary Allowed!
And most importantly: do the Ultimate 2000s Album Justice as well - hosted by @SophiaSophia.
You have until the end of 31st January in your timezone to enter your ballot.
