I always forget how good A Bad Dream is until I actually listen to it, the melody is quite understated (which is probably why it never quite took off in the same way Keane’s other early singles did). It’s a beautiful song and probably the last proper single from their “classic” era. That album deserved the same level of success Hopes and Fears got.

I had to give Broken Strings a vote because I think it brings the best out of Nelly Furtado after a few years of her Timbaland heavy association which, is full of bangers, but felt a bit like she had abandoned the side of her artistry that made her popular to begin with. James Morrison has a beautiful voice, it’s a shame he didn’t have a longer sustained period of success to cement a legacy because I think nowadays he’s only really remembered for this and maybe You Give Me Something.
