Well, of course Valentine had to be my 20-pointer (which shouldn’t be a surprise, especially not after giving them my 11 in
@Lost In Japan. ’s Twenty Quid rate in which they did surprisingly well!). Delays are a treasure and always will be. Valentine may be somewhat of an outlier in their discography; a rather brilliant reinvention for them that should have broken them into the mainstream, but alas. Their discography is essentially Cocteau Twins in Big Pop Girl mode, which is no mean feat for a male band!
I see that two of my songs made the top 100. Looking at previous eliminations I’d say one of them is a bit of a surprise (or perhaps even both), so I may very well be the next one to be booted out of the game!
