It's crazy to think that we had no idea Rainbow was going to exist when I wrote that commentary. I'm so thrilled to see where Kesha is today and for her to finally be able to do what she wants, but regardless of the circumstances surrounding Warrior, it will always be an album I cherish because of how much I got my life to it at the time (and still do). And much of it is still quintessential to her as an artist anyway.

Favorite song/Song I'd Recommend: No Ordinary Love

Underrated: Feel No Pain

If there ever was an album cover that visualized how an album will make you feel, it is this one. Sade has been consistently amazing from their first album, to their most recent in 2010 (please come back Sade!), but their absolute peak was Love Deluxe. Nine tracks (one an instrumental) – all killer, no filler. The production on this album is lovely, and Sade has one of the smoothest voices ever. No Ordinary Love is one of the most beautiful love songs of all time, and even though it’s over seven minutes, it never feels like it overstays its welcome. Kiss Of Life just makes me feel like I’m in love. Feel No Pain and Pearls add some social commentary into the mix. Although I didn’t pick it as my “underrated track”, a truly underrated track is Like A Tattoo, which was written by Sade Adu about a stranger who basically told her his life story and wore his shame and regret “like a tattoo.” The instrumental Mermaid is a breathtaking closer to a stunning album.

Underrated song: Valley of The Dolls

Recommended song: Primadonna

Just perfect. I listened to the album quite a bit in 2012, when – big surprise – things weren’t going so well in life, and in its songs I discovered a perfect representation of myself. Again, here’s an album that fits me like a glove; especially Teen Idle, The State Of Dreaming and Fear & Loathing describe me perfectly – but then again I’ve always thought Marina was a bit like me anyway.

After loving The Family Jewels, I was perched for a new Marina album to begin with. Then she teams up with (a pre-Kesha/pre-me knowing he was a scumbag) Dr. Luke and releases the unbelievable banger Primadonna. I had already loved Radioactive and Homewrecker, but nothing prepared me for that level of BOP. I love the catchy pop hooks paired with Marina's biting lyrics, as well as the album's imagery. I do have to say I'm not crazy about Buy the Stars and consider Living Dead, Fear and Loathing, and Sex Yeah to be a smidgen below the level of the other cuts.

Favorite: Primadonna

Recommend: Power & Control

Underrated: Lonely Hearts Club

Favorite: Primadonna - An obvious choice is an obvious choice, but I have to be honest, though it's literally centimeters above "Bubblegum Bitch". I was already a fan of her music from some select favorites on The Family Jewels, but hearing "Primadonna" once had me on the floor, by being overpowered by what I was hearing. I literally could not believe my ears. It's similar to what happened when I first heard "I'm a Ruin" so having two of those moments confirms that she really has become an all-time favorite artist of mine.

Recommendation: Assuming you know the singles, I'd point someone to "Starring Role" because its fresh-sounding metaphors and how they can be applied to very real scenarios in a love life.

Underrated: I never hear enough about "Bubblegum Bitch" but if I was making an all-time Top 100 list it'd would likely be there with "Primadonna" for me. You've heard the term catchy, but never has been so applicable than it is here. I never thought I'd here Marina doing this kind of in-your-face electro-charged bop, but here it is. I heard people say it was about Katy Perry or Britney Spears and poking fun at that kind of pop culture. Marina really stands out above other pop artists because of the way she creates this form of 'tongue in cheek' writing.

This album was Marina's foray into electropop bangers but shouldn't be discounted for its thought-provoking lyrics and themes because they're still here in spades. Songs like "Valley of the Dolls" and "Teen Idle" really hit someone like me where it counts, like they have for countless others.

Is there any person who doesn't like this album? I don't think so. It is a milestone of dance-pop music coupled with Roisin's irresistible vocals. I was truly obsessed with this when it came out and I count myself lucky to have seen her during her Frankfurt show of the Overpowered Tour. It was a happy time in my life. I was in my early 20s and just starting dating my ex-boyfriend who also loved the album. Thinking about it now, it was probably the album which we played the most during our 5 years together. So yeah, nice memories here (oh and good music)

Nothing more today as I plan to finish up the first PJ00s votes and relax. Tomorrow I'm going on a whale-watching trip as a work-excursion with co-workers and then spend a little more time in hospital with my Dad (if you didn't know he had an accident last Monday and I've been there for a few hours everyday since), not sure if I'll feel like doing anything more than kick back when I get home tomorrow, but we'll see.

I liked Howard Jones a lot in the Winners Rate... I should check him out more!

I missed the reveal for this (I usually get an alert!), only saw it in the 9-pointers just now.... @iheartpoptarts, yes definitely check out some more HoJo...either the 1993 "Best Of" (with the dark blue soft-focus sleeve) or the 2002 "Very Best Of" (with the white sleeve) are excellent starting points.

Omg. YES at both Marina and Roisin. Movie Star would definitely be an instant pick but the love for Body Language and Pandora is mutual too!

As I expressed before I went with emotional albums and it got cut from the top 10 from me because of that. It sits comfortably in my alltime top 10 albums plays on LAST FM basically since it was released. Very great pick!

Sad to see Electra Heart go this early. This was one of the tough final cuts to make but if we do this again in a few years it might well be up there. Such a great pop album from start to finish.
