Okay, so I was only able to get like 67% done, but right now your entry favorite song on the list has points.

I hope I have points too...

I missed the reveal for this (I usually get an alert!), only saw it in the 9-pointers just now.... @iheartpoptarts, yes definitely check out some more HoJo...either the 1993 "Best Of" (with the dark blue soft-focus sleeve) or the 2002 "Very Best Of" (with the white sleeve) are excellent starting points.

Thanks, I've got the blue one and your fave on my phone now! (And with that, my Spotify downloads are full again... 2017 is hard, etc.)

Randomly enough, I had the 80s station on the other day and I just had to look up this total bop I'd never heard before and it turned out to be 'Things Can Only Get Better', so I think I'm going to like this!

Things... raised my hopes for his 2nd album, it promised a slightly more sparkling take on the Human's Lib formula....still a bit spooky and ethereal, but catchy as hell. Sadly, the rest of Dream Into Action was a crushing disappointment. He needed to take more time over the follow-up. I suppose WEA wanted to cash-in as much as they could, but The 12" Album had only been released two months earlier. It was overkill and the material just wasn't really there.

Awwww, well, I didn't put that one on my phone, anyway!

Looks like it in Canada, too!

Imagine if WEA had resisted the temptation to rush out The 12" Album, and had allowed HoJo time to add more songs of the quality of Like To Get To Know You Well, Things Can Only Get Better, No One Is To Blame and Why Look For The Key. They'd also have still had the amazing Always Asking Questions in the can, and that's half an album right there. All 10/10 songs.

I've still got a lot to learn, but 'Like To Get To Know You Well' is amazing! Like, if Ace of Base were around in the 80s, I imagine they'd sound a bit like that.

I know the album is called Aerial and normally includes the two albums (Side 1. A Sea Of Honey / Side 2. A Sky of Honey) and if it needs to be included as Aerial overall then that's ok but for me A Sky Of Honey as an album on it's own (79 mins) is the most beautiful journeys through music you could ever wish to go on. Kate Bush was always going to have to be included on my favourite albums list but when it came to deciding between Hounds of Love and this, I had to choose the one in which every song is beautiful and essential. It's described as a journey from sunset to sunrise and it's exquisite. The feeling that Kate creates with sounds and her (now deeper and richer) voice really transports you to places, the sky (Aerial), the sea (Nocturn). It's all gloriously visual. The songs are long but they never outstay their welcome each one unfolding and telling a particular unique story and then melting into the next. I remember listening to this over and over again playing sudoko on my computer in between writing my undergraduate dissertation. I was so lucky to hear it live in it's entirety in what was truly the best concert experience ever. She is a musical genius and this album is a masterpiece.
