Usher - Coming Home + Past Present Future Tour

I love that he added Alicia. Obviously there was this brief moment of hope that Beyoncé would pop out for a moment when Love In This Club started, but it was never an option.

What a good show? Old school in a great way, entertaining throughout. We know our pop girls go the extra mile but it felt this is as close as it gets now with men.

Here it is before it gets taken down:

Full Setlist:
Caught Up
U Don't Have To Call
Superstar
Love In This Club
If I Ain't I Got You (Alicia Keys)
My Boo
Confessions Part II
Nice & Slow
Burn
U Got It Bad
Bad Girl
(Will.i.am song?)
OMG
Turn Down For What (Lil Jon)
Yeah
Get Low instrumental outro?

Songs I wish he included:
U Remind Me (really surprised at this omission?!)
You Make Me Wanna
Throwback (was not realistic but I love this song)
DJ Got Us Falling In Love

Hmm it's interesting that reports say he secured a 15 minute slot, 2 minutes longer than usual. Instead we got a 13 minute performance, I do wonder if something else was originally intended to finish the set.

Amazing performance that will definitely sell tour tickets. The legit live vocals while dancing were impressive. I loved the rollerskating! Ludacris was also a highlight. I was ready to cringe at the a cappella ending based on the comments, but I thought it was fine? It didn't go on for long enough to be awkward.

A Performer. A Popstar. A Classic.

He didn’t need to acquit himself, but there was an undercurrent since his announcement from some corners of “Him? He’s still around?”, and he really shut every one of those people up. Charismatic, athletic, and live; if you want something else, I have to assume you just don’t like popstars and would prefer Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen do it. He made the moment his own, and brought both people who helped make him and collaborators with him - this is what performing is about. A tough act to follow.

he / him
Although he completely paid it dust during his Super Bowl set, I've finally given Hard II Love a proper deep dive and there's a solid album in there. I don't know why I slept on it at the time, but I feel like it might've been the fact that neither of the buzz singles, "Good Kisser" and "She Came To Give It To You," clicked with me and that album cover.

"Need U," "Bump," "Let Me," "Down Time," "Make U A Believer," "FWM" and especially "Tell Me" are highlights.

Well, I loved it! And I saw the youtube upload so I didn't even hear the Alicia bum note kii. It was all too much in the best way, a full body assault on the senses like only the best showpeople can do. The only thing I didn't get was the very end. It ended with a whimper instead of a bang.
