  1. I've been rune farming that big dragon in Caelid whenever I cheaply lose a ton of runes, but I accidentally killed it this most recent time. So now I'm fucked and can't fight FormSoftware back nn.
  2. You totally nailed that description. The game is one of the rare JRPGs that perfectly balances a default difficulty. So many are braindead easy by default recently (Persona 5 Royal).

  3. Speaking of Persona 5 Royal, I bought it for PS4 but will probably wait until summer break (I'm a teacher) to play it. Persona games are just so time-consuming. Both my Persona 3 and 4 playthroughs took about 100 hours and I heard 5 is even longer. Based on what @ChrisC just said, I will probably play Persona 5 on hard.

I wanted to buy Tales of Berseria but it wasn't at GameSpot and I was using some old gift cards. I will order that one off of Amazon. The story looks so cool and I miss everything about Tales right now, particularly the wholesome atmosphere (cheesiness and all) and the closeness of the party. Hell, I almost even miss all those annoying fucking skits. Almost.
  4. I love Atelier but I haven't played either of the Ryza games yet, because I have a bunch of other games in the series to play first. They do look fantastic though, I imagine you'd probably enjoy them.

I played the first Blue Reflection and I really liked it, it's basically like Persona meets Sailor Moon. The game had a very delicate, feminine, realistic (well minus the fantastical elements of course) vibe which really makes it stand out from other JRPGs, and the visuals, music and story were fantastic, definitely recommend. Heard the second one was great too but I haven't got around to playing that either dd

  5. I wouldn't say it was hard, but I didn't think Persona 5 Royal quite braindead easy. But then again that might've been because I opted to use guns in limited amounts (ie how they worked in the vanilla game, as it's how they were intended to be used), I imagine that if you just abuse them it probably lowers the difficulty a lot.
  6. How do you respawn it? I've read you can but no one explained exactly how. I wanted to go to that abandoned cave to get to Golden Scarab before trying this but the scarlet rot is awful there, I die before reaching the boss.
  7. Right when it twitches (aka "dies") you get on your horse and run to the nearby grace. This most recent time I didn't make it in time nn.

  8. Thanks! Ugh that sucks. That is why before I test something I always upload my save on PS cloud storage and I just upload it again if I fail. I mean, I hate to waste cracked pots on a boss for example if they are not going to work. Which by the way, I only have Bloodbrne to compare Elden Ring with, but I wish FromSoftware kept the option where items you can buy are not limited. Put 100 000 runes if you want as a price but don't limit some neat item to 5 in stock for example.

  9. When that one twat in my party votes against me and tips the Scales of Conviction so that I end up stuck with a storyline I don’t want.

  10. Lego Star Wars is…cute…and a bit of a mess? it feels really awkwardly paced in terms of level by level stuff. Like why is more than half of Empire Strikes Back basically the opening act? The number of levels that are basically just boss battles that make going for minikits/true Jedi really awkward.

It’s a game weirdly at odds with itself, right down to it not really feeling co-op friendly anymore and the skill trees and combat feeling both overstuffed and way too shallow
  11. Guess who’s invited to the Overwatch 2 Open Beta.

  13. Yeah I’m enjoying it but I know what you mean. It doesn’t go over all the major parts of each film which I find a bit odd.
  14. I've never played a Lego game before but I have to say the Star Wars one piqued my curiosity. Might give it a shot sometime.

  15. For the Disney fans.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid between a life-sim and an adventure game rich with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring Disney and Pixar friends, both old and new.

Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony—until the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle.

Now it’s up to you to discover the stories of this world and bring the magic back to Dreamlight Valley!

Starting in summer 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available in Early Access for players who purchase a Founder’s Pack or have an Xbox Game Pass member ahead of the game's free-to-play launch in 2023.

  18. I don't play with demons mobile gaming, but the thing with games being removed entirely when they stop being profitable enough or whatever is just... kinda sad. The creative teams worked to come up with these characters, visuals, story, gameplay, etc, and then one day the higher-ups decide it's not making enough money anymore so it's time for it to be gone forever. It's something I'd thought for a while, but the news about Apple planning to remove any games that haven't been updated in two years from its store made me think of it again, even if it's not quite the same thing. I know there's a lot of money to be made in mobile gaming, but the way games are treated as nothing but a (temporary) tool to make money rather than a product for people to enjoy is just awful. Like, licensing issues aside, you never hear about movies/shows/albums being removed from a platform because they're old and barely anyone's watching/listening to them nowadays. And the worst part is how that mentality has permeated console/PC gaming over the last few years, though thankfully it's not quite as bad (yet?).

  20. Since it's on Xbox, it looks like that Disney game will be my first experience with an Animal Crossing style game.
