You know, I don’t really care for Street Fighter but was gonna wait and see if Eternity was announced as a fighter yet but in looking up the name of said character I stumbled upon an article of people saying it’s “woke” and to boycott the game. Guess this will be the first SF game I’m gonna buy.

I've already turned down Kawakami and Ann to remain just friends. (Ann feels like a plutonic best bud and Kawakami is my teacher...) but on the Hawaii trip I was asked to pick either Makoto or Hifumi for a night on the beach and it broke my heart to ignore Hifumi's text like that, even though I know Makoto (or Kasumi) are going to be the choice for me in the end and I want to play the game as close to real-life as possible (not go on a romantic date night with someone I don't intend on dating at the end). Hifumi is adorable.
No way for Chihaya because I just don't think her personality is match for me at all, Ohya and Takemi are...well I would say they're both odd characters but interesting. Futaba, no way she's like my little sister. Have not met Haru yet.

I've had such little time for gaming that I'm just now starting to let to the later stretches of Sword and Fairy: Together Forever. It's not a great game but it's a nice diversion, something a little different.

- Go back to the Witcher 3. I took a break from it because it got a bit overwhelming but I am absolutely determined to finish.
- Play Atelier Rysa, the first one.
- Play Persona 5 Royal alongside my brother (we did Final Fantasy XV together)
- Play Octopath Traveler in anticipation of the sequel, which looks amazing
- Play Mass Effect 1 or Greedfall
For what it's worth, the beta is full of existing Street Fighter players who had to sign up for it, and as a result it all felt very sweaty. Additionally, a portion of the players have been playing on a cracked/pirated offline version of the last beta for months (I've seen clips EVERYWHERE) so everyone was way better than the majority will be on release date.My brother got in and let me try it...

I'm so exhausted by g*mers losing their shit over any game character not being a straight white male these days.
It's even more egregious considering Street Fighter's brand new protagonist Luke, who's on the cover of the game, is a blonde, blue-eyed American character. They can't let anyone else have ANYTHING.
As a dedicated gamer, I can safely say the gaming community is the most toxic of all.
I've been thinking about it myself, I think it looks like a cool mix between chill life sim and a traditional JRPG experience with that classic Square Enix flavour. Will probably pick it up on sale soonish.
Yeah, a sale is definitely the way to go as full price seems like a bit of a gamble. I'm glad the farming is not the focus and it's pretty, but the combat doesn't look great. It doesn't seem to have much finesse. Why you can't dodge and parry is beyond me.

I was wondering for those who love Persona 5 - If there was an imaginary land with a Persona 5 Royal character rate, what would their 11 go to? Just would be cool to know what other fans thought the best characters were, as I get pretty deep into it (almost into October now).

I’ve had some downtime at work, so I’ve been trophy hunting some older games. I went back to Hitman Absolution for PS3. The last time I played it was ten years ago.
I ended up with 80% of the trophies before I realized I won’t be able to get the platinum because they shut down the contract servers years ago. Whomp.

It's actually really hard to pick, I like pretty much all the characters but there isn't one that jumps as my #1 fave. In terms of party members Ann is probably my favourite, but she's brought down a bit by her confidant story not really being one of the most interesting. I think I might go with Maruki, really interesting character and I loved his interactions with the various characters and his overall arc.
Then again it might be Futaba for this line alone
