Video Games

I am currently playing Assassin's Creed Unity and I like it, it has some improvements in gameplay, its not just a copy of the previous game like Rouge was. One thing really pissed me off though. I accidentally clicked on the icon that leads you to the DLC, its very close to the caffee where I just wanted to collect money. I noticed plenty of others had similar problem and the only way to go back to the main game is to finish the first mission which sucks because I am underleveled.

At the very least they should have given you a prompt question "do you want to start a DLC? or you know, NOT show the icon on the map before you actually finish the main story considering it is even created as Sequence 13 (I am on Sequence 3). Gah I'm pissed!

Somehow my main Atelier Ryza file got deleted. It had way more progress than the second file, which did not get deleted(level 28 versus level 16). So that's the end of that. I loved the game but life is too short (and busy) to play large sections of a game over, especially a game with extended crafting.

I really enjoyed Unity. The setting was really cool and fun to play.

Yeah I really like it too. There are a lot of improvements, you actually have to be careful while fighting, its not super easy. Also, the murder mysteries are fun, sidequests in general are a bit more interesting. Even the graphics are improved a lot which I wasn't expecting considering it was released a in the same year as Rouge. All in all, I am glad I didn't listen to my friend who told me I should skip Unity and Syndicate haha!

Syndicate is even better in my eyes. The Victorian London setting is just brilliant and I like how you can swap between the two twins and each of them can play a bit differently.

Unity is easily my least favourite out of all the Assassin Creed games I played, it felt so dry, bloated and uninspired compared to the ones that came before. Syndicate was an improvement for sure, but I don't think the series will ever be as good as it was in the run from I to IV. It's a bit sad how it used to be one of my very favourite videogame series, and now I don't even have the slightest bit of interest in Valhalla. I do feel cautiously optimistic about Mirage though, since it's supposed to be a return to roots moment.

I managed to refrain from buying anything this steam sale (Tactics Ogre Reborn, FFX+X2, Stray) but I fear I have slipped into the post-FOMO phase of things. I'm depressed!

I never liked AC 3 that much, its still my least favorite so far. I think it might have to do with Connor being a bit dislikable and kind of a dick haha. Also, it had a lot of annoying bugs that drove me crazy, I do hope a lot was fixed in remaster though. Enzio trilogy is still my favorite, he is such a great character and it was nice following his journey from the early days to his maturity.

3 is probably my second least favourite after Unity in terms of single player, it didn't help that the American Revolution setting just really wasn't that interesting compared to the games that came before and after. But it totally made up for that by having the best multiplayer in the series, I spent ages on that one. In terms of single player, 2, Brotherhood and 4 are the trinity for me.
