Not her actually having a good design as well, they did something right.

I never said anything bad about Tekken 8, Tekken 8 is my friend (unless Asuka and Lili don't make it).

Seems they really have been revealing the characters more or less chronologically, so I guess Eddy and Hwoarang should be next.

Gamespot, Gamesradar, IGN and a couple of others have all posted videos related to TEKKEN 8 at the same time, it seems media got some hands-on time for whatever reason this early in development. The IGN one had Xiaoyu gameplay so they seem pretty up to date as well.

Probably one of the more in-depth changes video of the bunch would be from Tekken commentator SpaghettiRip if anyone is curious about what competitive gameplay changes we are getting from 7 to 8. I know I'd rather listen to someone who knows about Tekken more than the general games journalists.

It's pretty weird how the characters don't interact in Octopath Traveler but I'm so addicted to this game. Everything is so crisp and there's so many options in battle. It's not very hard yet but I could see how it could get punishing later.

Why is Alfyn so much better than my other party members right now (Primrose and Therion)? He has high damage output, high HP, can heal, use black magic, etc?

I think some of it depends on equipment and secondary job. Personally i think the ones that work the best for me are Ophilia, Haanit, Cyrus and Therion. I love that each character can work in so many different ways though.

The E3 thing is a shame, it used to be thee gaming event of the year, always an exciting two or three days. Honestly I kinda blame Sony for things turning out this way, because them deciding to pull out a few years ago is when the wheels started falling off.

I think Nintendo also deserves some blame for being the first to bypass conferences. Their commitment to E3 in recent years has felt halfhearted.

Nintendo proved you can host your own events, on your own schedule, and use the internet to ensure news spreads. It’s a far better model. The other two followed suit.

To be honest, E3 was outdated as soon as print media died and they no longer had to compete against each other for valuable column inches.

Couple that with the fact that game development now takes so long and it’s easy to see how it turned out this way. In the 90s, you could do a huge flashy reveal, and the game be released within 12 months. Now, having a reveal and telling us it’s coming in two years… maybe, just doesn’t hit the same.

At first, I thought it was April's joke, but apparently Sonic has a new murder mystery game where he is the victim. It gives me Ace Attorney vibe, it's two hours long and free on Steam, so I will definitely play it this weekend.

If Kazumi comes back like surprise I’m alive I would be maining.

I need to get an eyeful of Shaheen in T8 graphics because my old fave Lars looks a mess but I never played Shaheen so he can be like a story character or something!

Katarina was a wasted opportunity she could’ve been slayful but all the other original characters were awful though like Lidia wrdgaf

I kind of assumed we'd never see any of the Tekken 7 DLC characters again. Leroy... I don't know who this man is. Great to see Asuka though, really wasn't sure she'd make it, because of Jun.

In terms of T7 newcomers, I'm mostly hoping we get divisive queen Lucky Chloe, she was cute and a lot of fun to play as. Master Raven as well, though I wouldn't mind too much if they just brought back Raven instead, since gameplay-wise they were basically the same character. Josie, Katarina, Kazumi, Shaheen and Claudio were fine too, but I won't be losing any sleep if they don't make it.

I think 7 was the only time they dropped the ball, really. Almost everyone introduced as recently as 5 or 6 feels like classic Tekken characters at this point. I'd definitely prefer if they stuck mostly to old characters for 8 rather than introducing a lot of the new ones, especially if they newcomers are going to be as uninspired as most of the T7 ones were.

I don't think I've accessed secondary jobs yet. Unless there's something I'm missing. I've been playing for 7 hours but I think I'm still in chapter 1.
