Okay Angel of Darkness was a buggy, undercooked mess, but damn the music for it went hard. I forgot we got this banger for it
Seeing how well the remasters have been done, I hope AoD can get it's moment too because there is a great game buried in there somewhere.

Finished Firewatch yesterday. It ended up being a much shorter game than I anticipated. But it was a pleasure to roam the Wyoming wilderness and roleplay being surrounded by wildfires, yanno, just getting ready for summer in real life.
Although I didn’t LOVE them as much as 1-3, I hope the success of the trilogy means we get 4,5 and Angel of Darkness remasters. AOD in particular deserves its redemption with a little bit of tightening and polish. (I still really enjoyed it at the time though). I also hope it lets me reevaluate Jonell Elliot though, there were moments and she did a grand job but I wasnt 100% taken to her as much and was sorely disappointed Judith didn’t come back.
I completed Tomb Raider 2 today, another first time achievement. I started TR3 and wow, I forgot how this game does not ease you in at all, Temple Ruins has no business being so long and complicated, it’s level 2!

I just finished 2 also tonight. Home Sweet Home is a lovely catharsis after the rest of the game
I enjoyed this but my copy had a bug which stopped me getting any further after about halfway through. Same with Pillars of the Earth. So frustrating.

Usually for these scenarios I have a 0% credit card - have you looked into this? Make sure you set it up to pay the minimum and there’s a few that are pre-approved and then just ignore it apart from big purchases
I might have to look into this as well, I’ve always steered clear of having a credit card but needs must I guess!

So I just landed in the Egypt levels in TR1 and I feel like they have really been overly generous with the ammo drops My Magnums have nearly 900 rounds in them, and I feel like I have been using them fairly often.
I bought Midnight Suns while waiting for Rebirth, and it's a lot of fun. I'm not the biggest fan of "social dating"-elements but this one is so quick paced and streamlined that it's actually all enjoyable.

Is this the thing where he was meant to be in Chronicles rather than Charles Kane? Or something else? Wasn't there a real like person who took offense because Jean-Yves looked like him?
I'm progressing nicely through Egypt but still finding the game far too dark, even in outdoor areas. It's not a huge deal but it does get a bit annoying having to switch between new and old graphics.
Yeah, there’s an actual archaeologist named Jean-Yves who accused Eidos of basing the character on him. Eidos apologised and removed him from Chronicles and reworked AOD’s plot too. Jean-Yves was meant to be murdered, not Von Croy.
He’s still in the beta Chronicles FMVs although they didn’t record his dialogue yet. This video uses the final audio.
